Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, I'm gonna take a look at this Trimax aluminum hidden padlock with the three eighths inch shackle diameter. Now this is a high security hidden shackle padlock. It features a two and seven eighths inch wide lock body, and it conceals a three eighths inch diameter shackle to help prevent theft. So this is perfect for installation on trailers, trucks, gates, and even sheds.
The large lock opening right here will cover and secure all trailer hasps. Just to give you an idea of the size of that lock opening, it's gonna be about two inches wide. And the height of it is right about three quarters of an inch tall. And this is designed to be used with the Trimax trailer hasp which we do sell separate on our website, it's part number TMX28ZR. Just wanted to pop up an insert.
There's what that hasp looks like. And this is designed to fit right through there and fall onto that and hold it all, lock it into place. Now this is a solid piece, one solid piece. Aluminum construction, it's very durable and long-lasting. It is a bright red color to make the lock noticeable when it's installed.
And you can see it comes with three keys to unlock it. And just to show you that, you put your key in there. And once your key's in there if you turn it a quarter of a turn that'll slide the shackle down and now you can slide that up onto the hasp. And then once you get the holes lined up push that back through there, twist to the quarter of a turn, and it locks that in place. A few overall dimensions again on this.
Overall diameter, one end to the other, it's two and seven eighths inches. Thickness of it, it's right at about one and a half inches thick. And as we mentioned, the shackle on the inside right here is three eighths inch diameter. But again, to show you, go ahead and put our key in there, twist it, releases it, go ahead and put that in there. Line up the holes, put those shackles through there, just like that it's locked into place. You're all ready to go. But that should do it for the review on this Trimax aluminum hidden pad lock with the three eighths inch shackle diameter..

They fit my trailer. I was able to take the locks apart and rekey them so one key fits all the locks. I have seen the question "Can they be keyed alike?" The answer is yes they can but you need to take them to someone with the pin kit and some locksmith experience.
Really like the color for the fact that the lighting is poor where this trailer is placed and hope/fully will not freeze like the othets.
