Steel cam-action door latch with 2" wide hasp is ideal for small enclosed cargo trailers. Can be installed flush on doors with a 3/4" offset. Positive double-action handle protects against in-transit jarring. 3/4" Pipe not included.

  • Cam-action door latch is ideal for side or rear doors on small utility trailers, vans, and trucks
  • Bridge-type hasp helps prevent accidental opening and ensures safe latching action
    • Can be locked with padlock (sold separately)
  • Double-action handle assembly ensures simple, secure latching and helps protect against in-transit jarring
    • Flip the handle keeper on the hasp latch up and lift the handle to release
    • Rotate the handle to either release or engage the cams
  • Zinc-plated steel construction provides durability and corrosion resistance
  • Black vinyl grip on handle makes it comfortable to use

Hey, Edmon. I asked the manufacturer if they had any instructions to pass along but since this part is universal, there really arent any available because there is not a correct one way to install it. I went ahead and emailed you some local shops who can do the job if that is better for you. Let me know if I can do anything else to help!

Used these in a 32' haulmark cargo trailer I re built. Well built and plenty heavy duty. Just cut your tubing to the length needed, and weld in the latch hooks, weld on the handle and your good to go

I have not done a review before; however the shipping and the quality of the items is unbelievable it force me to make the time. I am not making this statement based on just one order but on three over the last year. So with this statement etrailer.com is now the first place that we look. The promptness of the shipping is fantastic. On a scale from 1 to 10 on the shipping & quality they both are a 10!   • Replacement Parts for Rear Door on 2006 CM Horse Trailer
    It sounds like you are looking for replacement parts for a 2-point cam-door lock. We have many such kits, shown on the linked page, both kits that include the pipe like # 305736 and kits that do not, such as Universal Cam-Door Lock # PLR158. For this you would need to re-use your pipe (so long as it is 3/4-inch inner diameter) or supply a new one. For such an installation you will need to weld the handle to the pipe.

With that mechanism, it is possible for someone to lock you into the bus by sliding the mechanism shut and engaging the cylinder. A great alternative is to use the Cam-Action Lockable Door Latch Kit w/ Wide Hasp # PLR158 along with the Master Lock Laminated Steel Padlock - 1-3/4" Wide # ML1KA. With this system, no one will be able to lock you into the bus without having the padlock.

    I do have an option for you. You'll need the Cam Action # PLR158 which you can use on the rear ramp doors, and this kit doesn't include the pipe so you'll just need to add whichever length (in your case 55-1/4") 3/4" diameter pipe to fine tune the kit to your trailer.

    The handle and lock I recommend for your trailer is part # PLR3057-SS. This is a stainless steel lock. This system does not come with the required 3/4-inch pipe but you would be able to use a 24-inch length of pipe to work for your trailer. A couple other kits you may want to check out are part # PLR158 which attaches to a 3/4 inch pipe, or if you want ot use a 1-inch pipe you can check out part # 383200.     Across different brands and sizes of bar lock assemblies, such as # 3057-55, I am certain there is more than one possible bolt pattern. What I recommend is a version that does not come with a bar such as # PLR158 so you can provide your own bar at the appropriate length. Otherwise you could line up either the top set of holes or bottom set of holes on the door and then drill new ones for the other bracket for # 3057-55.
