Video Transcript for Let’s Check Out the Maxtrax Xtreme Recovery Boards

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the MAXTRAX XTREME Recovery Boards in the black color for a quantity of two. Now, these recovery boards will provide traction when your tires are bogged down in snow, sand, or mud, and these are the XTREME model boards that use rows of anodized alloy traction teeth on top, provides a surface that your tires can grip onto to pull your vehicle out of a messy situation. And these alloy teeth that are on here are replaceable and they can bear the weight of your vehicle and they can also take on any excessive wheel spin. On the underside, they do have these lugs right here.

These lugs on the bottom surface will bite into the ground, give you a nice surefooted grip. A few dimensions on one of these. The length is gonna be right at 45 inches long. The width on these are 13 inches wide, and the overall height from the bottom to the very top is about three inches tall. Now, the weight per board is about 10 pounds.

Now, I did wanna zoom in and go into a little detail on the board. It is a fiber reinforced nylon construction, makes these boards lightweight and strong. It is a UV stable material, so don't fade or degrade in the sun. These are light enough to easily haul in and out of your vehicle, but they're heavy duty enough to bear the full weight of the vehicle without breaking. Also, what's nice if you flip it over to the underside, on each end, you'll see here it'll say shovel with an arrow pointing, over here same way, and it also says it on the other end.

Basically, if you need to, you can use the ends of these boards as a shovel to remove any excess dirt or mud. They do use these handles you can see that are built-in glove-friendly handles to let you easily pull the boards out of the sludge after use, and they even include a couple leashes that you can also attach to that and use it to help remove them from any of the mud. Also, if you notice on each end, there's these keyholes and two on this end. These keyholes on both sides will allow you to mount these boards to your vehicle with the MAXTRAX XTREME mounting pins. Now, those we do sell separately on our website.

Now, these boards are a black color. They do also come in many other colors also. It is for a quantity of two boards with the two leashes. But that should do it for the review on the MAXTRAX XTREME Recovery Boards in the black color.

Great product. Hope I don't have to use it. Bought them since my 2-wheel drive with street tires doesn't get the traction like a 4WD. Twice, even with locking differential I have not been able to get enough traction due to the light weight of the rear end of the truck when it is not loaded.

Sometimes I do use them to raise the truck a few inches to make it easier to use my creeper, e.g., when changing the oil.
