Hello, neighbors and friends. Today we're looking at the Maxtrax Xtreme recovery boards. I'm Steven here at etrailer.com and these heavy-duty recovery boards will provide a much faster traction when your tires are bogged down in snow, sand, or mud. And I wanna throw up a picture here, just so you can kind of see these in action. So you can see this guy or gal is stuck in the sand, maybe had a little too much fun on the dunes and they got stuck. So you simply slide these in front of the tires, push 'em down as far as you can underneath, and these nice alloy-constructed anodized tips here will give you more secure tread engagement and help you crawl right back out of those environments.
Now again, they are light enough and easy enough to haul in and outta your vehicle. Very nice, bright orange color so you can't lose them. They got tread on both sides, but ideally you're putting this side down, like I have it here. And the black knobs here, those are gonna be what you're putting to the traction teeth rather. That's what's gonna come in contact with your tire surface so they can grip onto this and crawl out of there.
And like I said, they're light enough to carry around. They're only about 10 pounds per board, but yet they're strong enough and durable enough. They're not gonna break under the weight of your truck, car, SUV, whatever. I zoomed in here, so you kind of see these bright orange straps. You get two of these, one for each board, and those simply are built-in handles or leashes rather, that you could easily put around the board handle.
And then you could simply use this and pull it back out of the muck, mud, sand, water, whatever, snow, without you having to go in there yourself and get dirty again. You just pull 'em out with that built-in strap there. Now as far as some dimensions, they're about 47 inches long. They're 14 inches wide and approximately five inches tall. Again, approximately.
There's no definite measurement on the height there 'cause they're curved. Now, like I said, they are 10 pounds. They do have a nice amazing lifetime warranty, that's right. So if they ever crack, break, anything like that, simply contact the manufacturer and they will get you a new set, no problem. Now folks, like I said, they do have nice built-in handles as well. That's one feature I love. And I wanna zoom in here so you can kind of see the impression on the plastic. If you can read that, it says, "Shovel," and yes, you can actually use this as a shovel to get, you know, stuff out of the way of the tire while you're doing it, that kind of stuff. And again, a nice molded plastic. Lemme move these straps outta the way and zoom back out so I can show you. These are stackable. So again, they do nest together. Very nice product. Again, there's two of 'em together, total of 20 pounds, 10 pounds each. Very lightweight, easy to pick up. They're not too bad. They even have some built in. Besides the handles, they got some built in eye holes here. That would be for maybe hanging them up on the wall. Whenever you're done, you get back home, you wanna store 'em, maybe you hang 'em on the wall or something. That's another option you could do as well. Well folks, that's gonna do it for these lifetime warranty Maxtrax Xtreme recovery boards. I'm Steve here at etrailer.com. Thank you so much for watching. Have fun out there on the trails and don't worry about getting stuck anymore.

Twice, even with locking differential I have not been able to get enough traction due to the light weight of the rear end of the truck when it is not loaded.
Sometimes I do use them to raise the truck a few inches to make it easier to use my creeper, e.g., when changing the oil.
