Video Transcript for The Low-Down on the Maxtrax MKII Recovery Boards

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these Maxtrax MKII recovery boards. Now these recovery boards are going to provide traction when your tires are bogged down in the snow, the slush, the sand or mud. And as you can see, these two recovery boards are in an olive drab color. And these, the rows of traction teeth are going to give you a surface that your tires can grip onto. And what's nice about these boards is when you're ready to put them away and store them, they're going to nest together just like that.

So they're not gonna take up a whole lot of storage space. Let me move to a front view here just so you can see that when they are actually nested together, they're going to take up minimal space. So it's going to be very easy to store these. Going back over to my top view here, let me go ahead and take these apart and line these up again so you can see them. Now, just to go over the size so you have a good idea of just how big these are.

Looking at the overall length from end to end, we're sitting right at 45 inches long. The overall width, we're sitting at 13 inches wide. And then the overall height from the top of these cleats or to these teeth all the way to the base, we're sitting at about three inches tall overall. The UV stabilized fiber reinforced nylon construction makes these boards lightweight yet very strong. They're actually going to be light enough to easily haul in and out of your vehicle.

They weigh about seven and a half pounds per board, but they're gonna be heavy duty enough to bear the full weight of your vehicle without braking. Now zooming in for another front closeup here, I wanted to show you that each end of these boards when you flip these over can act as a shovel. And it's even identified here as your shovel portion of the board. That's gonna help you move excess earth around quicker to help you get your vehicle unstuck a little bit faster. So these do have some other features that are built into it that's going to make it easier for you to get your vehicle out of a situation where it's stuck.

And then these do have built-in handles and again, giving you another overhead look here. You see that we have a total of six handles on each board, three on either side. And then, so that's gonna make it easier to transport these, to get it to where you need them to be and also retrieve them. But also you're gonna get these two leashes and I have these bundled up, but you are going to receive two leashes to tie them around the board. So if you're using these boards in a situation where you think they could be easily buried while trying to retrieve your vehicle or get your vehicle out of a sticky situation, you can tie the leash onto the board, attach it onto the board, and then when you're done, that leash can be used to retrieve your board if it's buried. And of course, it's a bright orange, so the leashes are gonna be very visible. Also, I wanted to point out that each of these boards have key hole accessory points to allow you to securely mount your boards. And these do have a lifetime warranty from Maxtrax.
