Made for the off-roader who is always heading into unfamilar terrian, these heavy-duty, reinforced nylon boards have alloy teeth that provide a stronger tire grip than typical recovery teeth. And the teeth are replaceable if they happen to break.

Note: Not recommended for normal highway tires since the tread is too narrow and shallow to properly engage with the traction teeth.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at these MAXTRAX XTREME Recovery Boards. Now, these two red heavy duty recovery boards are gonna provide faster traction when your tires are bogged down in the snow, the slush, the sand, or mud. And if you notice, these have rows of anodized alloy traction teeth that's gonna provide a surface that your tires can grip onto. The alloy construction creates faster, more secure tread engagement, and they're anodized to help prevent corrosion in those extreme environments.
Let me go ahead and give you a front closeup view just so you can take a closer look at these cleats. And again, anodized alloy. So they're gonna be very rugged and hold up to that corrosion. While we're here, I also wanna show you that these can nest together for easy storage. So you can see that when you have them nested together, they're not gonna take up a whole lot of space and you're gonna be able to store two of these pretty easily since they can nest together like that.
Now, let me give you some overall measurements just so you have a good idea of the size of these. I went ahead and measured these earlier. And looking at the overall length from end to end, we're sitting right at about 45 inches long. The overall width, we are sitting right at 13 inches wide. And then the overall height from bottom to top, we're sitting right at about three inches tall.
The UV stabilized fiber reinforced nylon construction makes these boards lightweight, but yet they're gonna be very strong. They're light enough to easily haul in and out of your vehicle. They're about 10 pounds per board, but they're gonna be heavy duty enough to bear the full weight of your vehicle without the fear of these cracking or braking. I did wanna point out, let me flip this one over again, this does have on either end a shovel that's going to help you remove excess earth a little bit easier, helping you to get unstuck a little bit quicker. And let me go in for a closeup here just to show you that they do identify this area here on this end and this end as a shovel.
So that's a nice additional feature that they provide with these recovery boards. These also feature built-in handles. So we have two, four, six built-in handles that's going to allow you to easily transport these and grab them out of the way after you got your vehicle unstuck. And also two leashes that you can use to wrap around the board, fasten around the board if you're gonna be using these in terrain that you know that these could maybe potentially get buried. Those leashes are gonna help you pull these out easier. Plus, they're bright orange, so they're gonna be highly visible. And if you notice here and here, we have these keyhole holes here that's going to allow you to easily mount these or store them. So that's another addition that we have on these boards. So overall, they're gonna be very heavy duty for you. They're gonna do a great job. They're built for heavy duty use and they're gonna do a great job of being able to resist the elements when you are using these as well. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Great product and service.
Love the versatility of this product. Light weight, works as a shovel and gets the job done. Bought 3 sets for our fleet and I know there will be minimal of 3 more pair.
After 1 year of use they are holding up and doing their job. Would buy again
Awesome and heavy duty as advertised!
Overall construction of the product appears to be rugged compared to other recovery boards. I have not had the opportunity to utilize the boards at this time.
Super fast shipping!
An interesting thing happens when you drive into the wilderness alone. You start to realize all the ways you might get stuck and never get back out. I like my family, so I want to make sure I can get home.
Recently I ended up in an icy muddy field where dozens of very capable trucks and Jeeps couldnt get out. The mud was too deep, the snow and ice too slick.
I didn't get stuck, lets not be ridiculous, I drive a monster truck... I spent my day pulling the trucks and Jeeps out.
Pulling a dozen different trucks out helped me see a dozen ways to get stuck. And I decided recovery boards were something I need to add to my vehicle. So I went with these.
It is best to make sure you know how to use recovery gear. So I purposely buried my 4Runner into a huge snow pile. It took some digging to clear the area to get them in place, and a few tries of going back and forth to get through it. I was massively high centered, and pushing a wall of snow and ice. And slipped off the side of the recovery board a couple times.
After about 20 minutes of working at it we got out.
I probably will add 2 more. If I had one on all 4 wheels it would have been much simpler to get out because as one wheel lost grip the other would still have it as the suspension stretched and compressed.
Always new fun things to try and lots to learn!
Great product. Hope I don't have to use it. Bought them since my 2-wheel drive with street tires doesn't get the traction like a 4WD. Twice, even with locking differential I have not been able to get enough traction due to the light weight of the rear end of the truck when it is not loaded.
Sometimes I do use them to raise the truck a few inches to make it easier to use my creeper, e.g., when changing the oil.
Super serviced fast shipping
