2006 Toyota Tundra - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Toyota Tundra's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

by:

Good light set. Works perfectly and has held up well.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

Everything was delivered on time and worked perfectly. This solved my concerns about towing my car with my RV with a car dolly.

by:

Heavy duty magnets gave me the security of knowing they wouldn’t come off. Very easy to install!

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

by:

is far better than I expected....very nice. I should have gotten this sooner!!!

Friendly and informative people on the phone were knowledgeable and new their product. I will shop here again.

by:
2011 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Very strong magnets and plenty of length on the cord for a car in tow.

by:

I looked everywhere for these lights. Lots of cheep ones out there for 2-2X $$ but these are the real deal and a great price. Shipment was early and response was great. Thank you for the quality product.

by:

  • Recommended Flat Towing Equipment For A 1999 Ford Ranger
To tow your 1999 Ford Ranger you could use the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar - Car Mount - 2-5/16" Ball - 6,000lbs # RM-504. You would need some Roadmaster base plates like the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 483-1 for it to connect to. To flat tow you would also need a braking system, tow bar wiring kit, and safety cables. For the tow bar wiring kit I recommend just using some magnetic lights like the Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120 to simply...

  • Is Hardware Included in Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit # 521190-1 to Connect to a Quick Disconnect
The Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, part # 521190-1, does not include the RoadMaster Quick Disconnects, part # RM-222. These car side quick disconnects will bolt to the EZ base plates on your 2011 Honda Fit and allow the crossbar from your Falcon 2 tow bar to be connected. The quick disconnects come with the mounting hardware, it is not sold separately. I also have the quick disconnects for the tow bar side, part # RM-221. These are the quick disconnects that attach to the crossbar of your...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2013 Honda CR-V Behind a Motor Home
I would need to know what tow bar you have to determine which adapter you will need. There are several adapters available that depend on the model tow bar and the model of base plates you are using on the vehicle. If you have a Blue Ox tow bar you would not need an adapter if you used the Blue Ox base plates, # BX2258. Or if you have a Roadmaster tow bar you could use Roadmaster base plates # RM-521567-4. If you have some other tow bar or base plates, let me know what they are and I can...

  • What Parts are Needed to Tow a 2000 Honda Accord with a 37 ft Fleetwood Bounder Motor home
Whenever setting up a towing system, read and follow the guidelines listed in the emergency towing section of your owners manual. The five items you need to safely tow a 2000 Honda Accord behind your 2000 Fleetwood Bounder 37 ft. motor home are base plates for your Honda, a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting and a supplemental braking system. The base plate for your Honda is the Roadmaster XL # 1545-1. This base plate has removable arms that can be stored away when not in use....

  • Using Roadmaster Base Plates with a Blue Ox Tow Bar to Flat Tow a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The adapter # RM-032 will fit Blue Ox Aventa, Aventa II, Kar Bar, Aladdin, Alexxa, Acclaim (and all Blue Ox A-Frame tow bars with 1 or 3 pronged attachment). If you do not already have some safety cables you can add some using # RM-643. For lighting if you will not be towing very often I recommend a magnetic kit like # RM-2120. But for more frequent flat towing a more permanent solution is diode kit # 154-792-118158. The diode kit also requires a relay # RM-88400 to keep the Jeep's brake...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2012 Chevy Cruze 2LT with Manual Transmission
For the 2012 Chevy Cruze it looks like there are base plates for various models. If your 2LT does not have fog lights and is not an RS model then I recommend the Roadmaster base plates # 523168-1. If you have an Eco model with active air shutter system, go with # 523170-1. And for an RS model the only option is # BX1698. For either of the Roadmaster base plates I recommend the Falcon 2 tow bar # RM-520. If you need the Blue Ox base plates then go with the Avail tow bar # BX7420. For safety...

  • How to Route Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Harness Part # RM-154 in a 2007 Saturn Ion
The Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Harness Part # RM-154 requires that you locate holes through which you can pass the 4-pole RV connector wiring. It is usually possible to locate rubber grommets that already have wiring passing through them if you remove carpet and trim panels in the rear of the vehicle. The tail light wiring may also provide an access point; you can try removing the driver-side taillight assembly to see if there is a grommet you can use. Once routed to the underside of the...

Trailer wiring harness # 118498 or any harness that is at the back of your 2013 Toyota Sienna is an output device only. What you need is called tow bar wiring. But you may want to check the owners manual for the vehicle to make sure it can even be towed behind your bus. There are no base plates or wiring for the 2013 Sienna so it could be that it can't be flat towed. If the owners manual says that it can then for lighting at least the easiest solution would be a magnetic light kit such...

The Roadmaster EZ2 Base Plate Kit, # 521441-1, base plates will fit the 2012 Jeep Patriot with fog lights, but they must have a manual transmission and no front tow hooks. The fog lights do not interfere with the installation of the Roadmaster base plates. I have attached a photo showing the base plates installed on a Jeep Patriot with fog lights. If the bike completely obscures one of the tail lights so that it is not visible at all through the bike, then using the Roadmaster # RM-2120 would be a great solution. As you said, you would also need the Curt Harness, # C56030 to provide a connection for the EZ mount lights to plug into.
