2006 Saturn Vue - Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights

  • Removable Tail Light Kit
  • Bypasses Vehicle Wiring
  • Magnetic Mount
  • Universal
  • Roadmaster

Avoid tapping into your towed Saturn Vue's electrical system by using these self-contained tow lights. Heavy-duty magnets keep lights securely in place on your towed car.

Features:

  • Allows you to legally tow your car without having to tap into its wiring
  • Eliminates risk of electrical damage to towed car
  • Attaches securely with magnets
  • Connects directly to motor home wiring, bypassing towed vehicle completely
  • Has heavy-duty vinyl casing for superior protection of wiring
  • Meets Department of Transportation standards
  • Fits all vehicles
  • Includes 2 lights and wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector
  • Length of wire:
    • Wire that connects the lights: 53-1/2"
    • Wire that extends out the back of the light: 243"
    • Wire with 4-pole connector: 35-1/2"
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty

The law requires that all towed cars have functional signal and brake lights in sync with the RV towing them. Most wiring kits require you to splice into your vehicle's electrical system, but doing this can void your manufacturer's warranty. Magnetic tow lights avoid this problem by having the wiring run underneath your car and plug into your power source.

These lights have worked flawlessly for the whole 2023 camping season on my RV towed vehicle. I mount them on the rear of the roof so they are nice and high above bicycles on a hitch mounted rack.

by:

Extremely happy with the tow bar wiring. Not one problem for the year!

by:
Jeep

They were shipped fast and arrived quickly. These are quality lights with very strong magnets. I installed them on my Jeep in no time after making some steel brackets for the tubular aluminum bumper. Would be nice to have 5 or 6 magnetic clips to place along the wire to secure it to the vehicle. I highly recommend these lights.

by:
2005 Subaru Forester

I like these lights, nice strong magets hold them securely to car roof. I use them because my bikes in bags cover my tail lights. I added LED bulbs because when I tow the car with my RV these additional lights put to much load causing voltage drop and dim lights.

These lights are still working well only improvement I could suggest is if they could somehow maybe put up plastic layer between the magnets and the roof because they’re taking paint off, if they could still make the magnet is strong.

Jeep Wrangler

I purchased the Curt Tow Bar with Adjustable-Width Arms - Car Mount - 2" Ball - 5,000 lbs. initially I was Leary of the product because of its low price compared to other tow bars. I now can say my concerns were needless because after flat towing my Wrangler over 5,000 trouble-free miles I have nothing negative but only positives to report. The best thing I like about the tow At is that it only takes 5 minutes to attach and unhook.

Good light set. Works perfectly and has held up well.

by:
2010 Chevrolet Silverado

by:

Fast delivery. Did a test as soon as I received the light kit. Flawless. Magnets very strong but safe for car finish.

by:

I did a mock-up set-up and this kit works as advertised.
Magnetic bases are strong, it should fit my needs perfectly.

  • Charging Battery of Tow Vehicle Using Magnetic Tow Lights
You will have to use magnetic tow lights that plug into a 4-way, as you can't charge your battery using magnetic tow lights that plug into a 7-way. So first what you'll need to do is replace your motorhome's 7-way with one that has a dual 7-way and 4-way, the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM48470. Then you'll need a wired magnetic light kit that plugs into the 4-way, the Roadmaster Standard Magnetic Tow Lights # RM-2120. This will leave your 7-way...

  • Equipment Needed to Flat Tow 2012 Hyundai Behind RV
To connect a tow bar to a vehicle, you'll first need to install a vehicle-specific base plate on the vehicle. The base plate installs onto the front frame structure of the vehicle, which will provide a strong attachment point for the tow bar. In addition to the tow bar and the base plates, you'll also need some other equipment to flat tow your vehicle. You'll need safety cables like part # RM-643 to secure the vehicle to the motorhome in the event the tow bar or base plate should fail....

  • Tow Bar Wiring Causes Lights Not to Work on 1992 Elite Motorhome and 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
You are just going to need the proper wiring kit. It sounds like there are a combination of problems that are leading to the failures. There could be short and ground issues causing the lights not to work and the converter to blow. First, lets look at what is going on with the motor home. If it has a trailer connector on it you will want to test it using a circuit tester such as # PTW2991. I have included a link to a help article that explains how to test it. • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2008 Scion xB Behind a Motor Home with Stowmaster Tow Bar
The Roadmaster MX base plates # 1187-3A will only work with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver such as the Falcon 2 # RM-520. The Stowmaster tow bar couples to a ball so would not work. If you already have a Stowmaster tow bar you can use base plates # 1187-1A instead for your 2008 Scion xB and they will work together. You will also need safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow the xB. For safety cables I recommend # RM-643. The coiled...

I did some research on your vehicle, and it looks like the curb weight of your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe model should be around 5050lbs. This would be under the 6000lb capacity for the Falcon 2 tow bar # RM-520, but you will also need to make sure that the tow vehicle and trailer hitch are both rated to handle this much weight.
