The Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel is rated for 1,250 lbs and meets Department of Transportation standards, so it’s ready for heavy loads with confidence. The 12" x 4" rim size pairs strong steel construction with balanced performance for smooth towing at speed.
Corrosion doesn’t stand a chance thanks to the white powder coat finish layered over an e-coat primer. This durable coating shields the steel from moisture and road salt, keeping the wheel looking clean and preventing rust season after season.
Getting the right fit is simple. This wheel uses the common 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, a pilot diameter of 3.19", and a 0 offset so it mounts easily on compatible hubs. The wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, giving a secure connection you can torque down with confidence.
The timeless 8-spoke layout gives this wheel a clean, functional look that pairs well with any trailer setup. Beyond looks, those spokes add rigidity to the steel structure, helping it stand up to regular towing and rough roads while keeping a balanced ride.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Today we are going to review Part number AM20132. This is the Dexstar 12 inch by 4 inch white 8 spoke steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel is a sturdy steel construction, has a nice powder coat finish over an 8-coat primer for excellent corrosion resistance on the front and even the back of the wheel. As you can see it's a standard 8 spoke pattern. This is a high quality wheel. It meets the Department of Transportation's specifications and this wheel is made by Dexstar. It is made in the USA. A few specs on this: The diameter of this wheel, we are going to measure.
It's measured from inside to inside. If we take a tape measure and put it on inside to inside, you can see 12 inch diameter. And the width is the same way, you'll measure inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat, 4 inches. So 12 inches to 4 inches. Now the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 4 and a half inch bolt pattern. Now if you want to measure that on a wheel that's an odd number of lugs, in this case 5, what you do is just pick any lug hole, we'll pick that one, and then we'll measure across to any of these holes right across from it, so we'll go to this one.
What you want to do is measure from the starting hole, the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole you go to. So if we take a tape measure, center to furthest side, you can see it's 4 and 1/2 inches. So 5 on 4 and a half bolt pattern. It does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. Pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole in the center of the wheel here, this goes over the hub in your trailer. Diameter of that opening is 3.19 inches.
And the weight capacity of this wheel is 1,250 pounds. But that should do it on part number AM20132. This is the Dexstar 12 inch by 4 inch white 8 spoke steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4 and a half inch bolt pattern.

I recently received my order from e-trailer. I ordered a Dexstar wheel, a pair of Kenda tires, a chrome when center cap, lug nuts and screw in studs. I read all the pertinent info supplied as well as check exactly the brands, sizes etc of the parts I was replacing. I was notified by email (from Phyllis) the day following the order placement that their was a shipment delay of the tires, I was supplied with equivalent tire replacements which could have been supplied to keep the order on time or wait a week and get exactly what I originally ordered. I waited and received everything faster then I thought it would have taken. Phyllis kept me updated every couple days on the order progress- so nice! I was a little unsure if the screw in studs would fit but ordered what seemed to be the best match (had to start somewhere & figured I could return if no fit) and studs and lugs fit as stock- exact matches. This was my 2nd order in two years and have had great customer service and better then stock replacement parts, certainly all for a cheaper price then I could ever find in NW Montana! I am 100 percent happy with the tires and rims, they are exactly what I was looking for. In the last year I have purchased 4 new 6 ply bias tires due to the new tires I had purchased the year before blowing out with a load. I purchased the 10 ply radial tires with the new rims for a new look and better reliability. The trailer pulls great and the tires and wheels handle excellent. Its been a year and so couldnt be happier with the tires and rims. The rims have held up excellent. I cant say enough about the tire,I use the trailer to haul my Yamaha Rhino, pallets of floor tile, wood and stone. Before I purchased these tires I was having blowouts every other load, since changing to these havent had one. If you are thinking about purchasing new tires and rims, these are without a doubt an excellent choice. Thanks Randy
