Question:
I am ready to buy two wheels and tires and fenders for a 40x48 small trailer if just bought. The tires that came with the trailer are rated as follows: 4.8x12 6pr 80m load range C. Max Load 990 lbs. side walls 2plies tread 3 plies nylon. Can you please clarify if these tires are rated high speed 65 mph+ and if so which tire do you recommend that I should use as a spare. I am Ready to order but I am hesitating as I need to make sure I am ordering the right part Thank you.

While I can recommend a spare tire for you, there is no way to verify the speed rating of your current tires without knowing a specific model number - essentially, without knowing exactly what tires you have, giving a speed rating that is reliable simply isn't possible.
What I can recommend for you is the 4.80-12 tire, the Taskmaster 4.80-12 Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TT48012C which has an 81 mph speed rating. This can be mounted to a 12" x 4" wheel such as the Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20132, which has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, or Dexstar Solid Center Steel Wheel # AM20102DX, which has a 4 on 4" bolt pattern. If you are unsure about what bolt pattern you have, I have added a link to a help article which tells you exactly how to determine it.
You also get a tire and wheel mounted together once you know your bolt pattern, the Kenda 4.80-12 Bias Trailer Tire with 12" White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range C # AM30660 which has an 81 mph speed rating.
