Replacement for 15" Steel Modular Rim With PVD Finish

Question:
I am looking to replace the following wheel / tire combo: Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Tire w/ 15inch Steel Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - LR D - Silver PVD Finish ITEM A225R645SMPVD since they rusted out after 9-years. They fit these hubs: Kodiak 10inch Hub-and-Rotor Assembly - 5 on 4-1/2 - Dacromet - 3,500 lbs ITEM KHR10D I am considering the following wheels, given the saltwater exposure: Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel - 15inch x 6inch Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized Finish Part Number: AM20524 Will these fit the same and provide similar service? I will get my tires locally Thank you.

Hi L; the Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20524 will work as a replacement for your existing wheel. The galvanized finish will hold up well to saltwater exposure. However, you need to make sure the wheel has a high enough capacity for your application. This wheel has a capacity of 2,150 lbs compared to the 2,830 lb capacity of your old wheel and the 2,540 lb capacity of your old tire. If you need a higher capacity let me know in the comments below and I'll see what is available.

Hey L, how did the galvanized wheel end up working as a replacement for your old setup? It’d be great to know if the capacity and corrosion resistance met your needs. Your update could make it easier for others choosing wheels for saltwater use.
