Features to know about

Built for Heavy Loads and Steady Towing: 1,040-lb Wheel Capacity

When you’re hauling gear or equipment, strength and balance matter. This 8" x 7" Americana steel trailer wheel is rated for 1,040 lbs and meets Department of Transportation standards, so it’s tough enough for steady towing under full load. The 0 offset helps keep the trailer tracking even, while the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern offers a solid, consistent connection every time.

Resists Rust and Road Wear: White Powder-Coated Steel Finish

Constant exposure to rain, dust, or salty air can wear down a wheel fast. The durable steel construction and white powder-coated finish stand up against corrosion and grime. It keeps its clean look for the long haul and protects the metal underneath from rusting out over time.

Straightforward Fitment Every Time: 5 on 4-1/2" Bolt Pattern with 2.81" Pilot Hole

Finding a wheel that fits right shouldn’t be a guessing game. This one uses a standard 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and a 2.81" pilot diameter that matches many common trailer hubs under that size. Wheel bolt size is 1/2"-20, making it easy to match with existing hardware for a secure fit that centers true when tightened down.

Dependable Specs That Meet Real-World Use: Steel Strength with DOT Certification

Every detail of this wheel is built to spec—8" diameter, 7" wide, zero offset, and compliant with DOT requirements. That means it’s ready to handle real towing conditions without second-guessing safety or durability. It’s simple, solid hardware designed to keep you rolling with confidence trip after trip.

Determining Bolt Pattern

1. Count the lug holes

Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).

Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug

2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.

Center to Center
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"

2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)

Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Center to Outside Edge
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Video Transcript for Review of Americana Trailer Tires and Wheels - Wheel Only - AM20026

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Americana 8-inch by 7-inch white solid center steel trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Now this wheel's a sturdy steel construction. Now these 8-inch trailer wheels are commonly found on smaller trailers like snowmobile trailers, jet ski trailers, small boat trailers, and even small campers. These have a solid center design and you can see it has a nice white powder coat finish over an E-coat primer, help resist rust and corrosion. Now it is a high-quality wheel.

It doesn't meet the DOT specifications, which is the Department of Transportation. We wanna give you a few measurements. We're gonna measure the diameter and the width on this wheel. And when you measure the diameter, which you're measuring is inside to inside. 'Cause when you mount a tire on here, the tire bead is gonna seat right here.

So what you're measuring is the diameter bead seat to bead seat. So you can see if we get our ruler and if we go inside to inside, there's your 8-inch diameter. The width we set is 7-inches, and that's gonna be the same way. It's inside to inside or bead seat to bead seat. There's your 7-inch width.

And the bolt on this wheel is at five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs, like in this case, five. What you need to do is just pick any one of the holes and then measure across to either one of these holes right across from it. But when you measure it from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this, it'll measure 4-1/2-inches.

So that means it's a five lug, 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern. Pilot hole diameter, which is a large hole here in the center, is 2.81-inches. And this does use a wheel lug size of 1/2-inch by 20. Weight capacity, which will be stamped on the wheel is 1040 pounds. But that should do it for a look at this Americana 8-inch by 7-inch white solid center steel trailer wheel with the five on 4-1/2-inch bolt pattern.

They were reasonably priced, well packaged, and got here in good condition and in a reasonable time frame. The staff is helpful and accommodating. The wheels and tires for fine, but I had to buy spacers,. My hubs were a hair bigger than the inside of the wheels. It wasn't the products fault.

  • 8 Inch Trailer Wheel to Fit 18.5 x 8.5-8 Sized Tire on a 2,000 Pound Axle
I looked for a previous order from you but I wasn't able to find one. I think I can still help you though. Your 18.5 x 8.5-8 sized tires fit a 8 by 7 inch rim. And since you have brake drums on your 2,000 pound axles they're likely a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. We have 3 options that fit the criteria in different finishes: Galvanized, part # AM20028 White paint, part # AM20026 Silver paint, part # AM20027 If you can tell me why the rims you find don't fit over your hubs, or if for...

  • How To Find Correct Replacement Wheels and Hubs for Triton XT10 Enclosed Snowmobile Trailer
I do likely have some options for this trailer but we don't have any way to look up what parts it uses therefore you need to provide some information, namely the axle capacity which should be stamped onto the tag in the center of the beam. It likely uses 2,000 lb axles and in which case you would be looking at either the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # CE13110 for 4 lug or part # AKIHUB-545-2-LF-1K for 5 lug. If you have a different capacity you'll need to look through our list below...

For your 20x10-8 size tire, you can use an 8 inch x 7 inch wheel like the Americana # AM20021 if you have a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern or # AM20026 if you have a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Both wheels feature a nice white powder coat to resist corrosion and a sturdy steel construction. I have attached a couple of short video demonstrations on these wheels that you can also check out.
