The Tamarack ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire is built for long hauls and steady highway performance. With an 8-ply rating, a maximum load of 2,540 lbs at 65 psi, and a speed rating of M (81 mph), it’s made to handle serious weight without heat buildup. The sturdy sidewalls are designed specifically for trailer duty, giving you confident stability mile after mile.
Inside, this tire uses double steel belts and double nylon plies with a full nylon overlay to help prevent tread separation. That layered construction keeps the tread firm and the footprint even on the road, improving wear and helping the tire stay cooler under load. The included tread wear indicator makes it easy to see remaining tread depth at a glance.
The Tamarack radial tread design trades solid ribs for open channels that let water escape to the sides. Added sipes—thin grooves cut into the rubber—further move water away so more of the tread stays in contact with the pavement. Together these details give better grip through rain, snow, or icy conditions, where a smooth-rib tire might struggle.

Every Tamarack ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire comes with roadside assistance for two years through the Lionshead program. If you get a flat anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico, you can call anytime—24 hours a day, seven days a week—and a technician will come change the tire for you. It’s coverage that adds peace of mind when you’re far from home.
This radial trailer tire fits 15" x 6", 15" x 6-1/2", and 15" x 7" rims. It measures 8.78" wide with an outer diameter of 28.3" when inflated and has a tread depth of 9.5/32". It meets all DOT and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards requirements and includes a five-year warranty for long-term confidence in your setup.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).

Imagine a four-month-old tire with a softball-sized bulge on the sidewall. Thats what I saw as I was pulling out to drive 200+ miles alone through a remote part of Idaho. I sent a pic to Castle Rock and - to their credit - they immediately offered to partially reimburse me for the tire which indicates that it was a manufacturers failure. On the downside, its been 10 weeks and the check has yet to arrive. Big picture - this is my fourth Castle Rock trailer tire to fail in 3.5 years30,000 miles on the road. I have since switched brands and have had no further tire failures.

Tire was bought to replace a blown spare and was never used. Trailer was sold four months after tire purchase.
