Question:

there is a lot of noise about Castle rock tires being called China Bombs. Is this really because people are not paying attention to air pressure or is it the nature of this tire?

The Castle Rock ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # 274-000029 is a great tire option even though it's not made in the USA. The main cause of blowouts that we see is attributed to either improper psi or overloading. There is a huge misconception about tire pressure, you must fill these to the max psi listed on the sidewall while cold no matter the load per the manufacturer. If you are really concerned with blowouts then you should be running a TPMS which monitors both temperature and pressure as this will be able to warn you of a protentional blowout, I recommend the TST TPMS for RVs part # TST-507-RV-4-C.
