These pewag mud service chains are built for serious traction when conditions turn bad. The square links dig in and grab through mud, snow, and even ice, giving you the forward bite you need when the surface is slick or the ruts are deep. The ladder pattern keeps steady contact with the ground so you can keep climbing or pulling through without spinning out.
When you’re out in rough terrain, the last thing you want is a cam slipping or coming undone. These chains eliminate cams entirely, so there’s nothing to shake loose when backing up or working your way through uneven ground. You can count on them to stay tight and secure the whole time.
Every part of these chains is made to take abuse. The oversized 8.2 mm links are case hardened for strength and durability, letting them handle heavy loads and constant churning through coarse grit without wearing down quickly. The premium alloy steel resists corrosion, so they’ll hold up through wet, muddy seasons year after year.
These heavy-duty chains are designed for large tire sizes from 20" to 24-1/2", giving you full-scale traction for demanding situations. Whether the job calls for tackling steep snowy grades or pulling through sticky clay, this set delivers reliable grip where standard chains can’t cut it.
For the most secure fit, pair these chains with rubber adjusters (sold separately). The adjusters help maintain consistent tension around the tire, so you get an even grip and smoother performance across all conditions.

These chains fit the following tire sizes:

I’ve owned the PEWAG 2439S tire chains for a year now but I haven’t had to deployed them I have only test fit the tire chains in a local church parking lot which got me a lot of weird looks I used the church parking lot because it was clean and dry and perfect for test fitting since the test fitting I’ve since upgraded my tire chain kit during the test fit I found I had to lay on the ground to connect the chains behind the tire this is difficult to reach the chains to make the connections and also not curse anyways So I bought a fifth wheel puller tool from the local auto parts store NAPA AUTO PARTS aka trucker tool this tool made it very easy to reach the chain on the back side of the tire to make the connection then once the connection was made I used 18 inch cable ties to zip tie the slack in the chain works really good I used the bigger longer 18 inch cable ties because I was wearing gloves easier to handle so once the connection is made on the back side of the tire it goes really smooth from there And the connection is made on the outside of the tire and the cable ties are used for the slack chain again and also the PW105 orange tensioners are used to keep the chains tight pretty darn easy if you test fit ahead of time before the chains are deployed for real my off-road tire chain kit has a set of PEWAG 2439S tire chains lots of work gloves fifth wheel puller tool from Napa auto parts 18inch cable ties PW105 tensioners cable tie cutters dikes And overalls to help keep the cab cleaner and Notes to myself in the kit so I remember how to do it all in the future for my particular truck I keep all this in a kit for off road use and it doesn’t leave the vehicle
