  Hey Daniel, Chances are your slipper spring has flattened out over time and is longer than it originally was. Typically an older trailer that may not have had its suspension replaced anytime recently is around an inch longer than it was originally. With that said I do have a slipper spring for a 7k axle that is 26-5/6" long, which is probably what yours were originally. I will add you should replace both springs at the same time, you always should replace a minimum of 2 on your trailer....
