A secure axle mount keeps your suspension steady. This galvanized U-bolt plate locks a 2" square axle to 1-3/4" or 2" wide leaf springs using 9/16" diameter U-bolts (sold separately). The 5-1/2" long by 4" wide, 3/16" thick steel plate gives you a strong hold that stands up to heavy use without bending or loosening.
Moisture, salt, and grime can eat away at bare metal fast. The galvanized coating on this plate resists corrosion, making it a good fit for setups that see road spray, water crossings, or storage outdoors. It’s a solid choice for boat and snowmobile trailers where rust protection matters most.
A solid plate helps keep your suspension geometry correct under load. This U-bolt plate pairs with two 9/16" U-bolts to clamp the axle and leaf springs tightly together, preventing movement that can cause wear or uneven tracking. The plate’s size and hole spacing are made to match standard 2" square axles for a clean, secure fit.

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the galvanized U-bolt plate for 2" square axles. This U-bolt plate will act as a part of your trailer suspension system. This will help secure a square 2" wide axle to a 1 3/4" or 2" wide leaf spring. It does require two 9/16 diameter U-bolt. Those we do sell separately on our website.A few dimensions on this part: The overall length from edge to edge is right about 5 1/2 inches. The width on it is right at 4 inches.
It is 3/16 of an inch thick and the whole measurements from center to center both ways is gonna be 2 and 3/4 that way, and 2 and 3/4 that way. This is made of a galvanized steel construction. It's very heavy duty and corrosion resistant. It is ideal for use on boat or snowmobile trailers. But that should do it for the review on the galvanized U-bolt plate for 2" square axles..

parts purchased for my boat trailer were exactly what I needed - everything fit perfectly thanks for everything !
I used 9/16 inch bolts and followed the manufacture torque spec on the low end of 66 ft pounds and these plates bent and also bent the bolts I had custom made to fit my axle. The quality is good but they are not thick enough for the application on which they fit.

I ordered trailer springs and several needed plates and U bolts. They arrived in a timely manner and were well packed. The products appear to be good quality and I will be installing them tomorrow.

I ordered several items for my boat trailer to replace the springs and renew the related hardware. There was a little glitch, as the springs were sold out in inventory. The etrailer staff quickly advised me of this issue and offered alternatives. However, my order was shipped was shipped within a few days and arrived as ordered. I will definitely use etrailer again.
my friend ordered springs and hardware for my pontoon trailer. man did they get here fast. everything in one box. packed real good. no damage, nothing lost or left out. I finally got everything back together. fits great. i was worried that the springs where going to be to light, but the trailer sits just like new. sorry no pics. I was to greasy to get the camera out. Not installed yet , but the plates and springs are high quality. I little disappointed that the waterproofing was not applied before springs were assembled.
Galvanized steel plate is good (all components fit together perfectly and are working well), but, the U-bolts should be stainless steel! In a salt water environment you should offer all these products as stainless steel..
