Hi, everyone, Steven here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at a set of Lippert U-bolt and nuts for a 3,500-pound trailer axle. Now, folks, this measures a 2 3/8-inch inner diameter, so it's gonna fit an axle that's 2 3/8 inch in diameter, obviously. And then you'll have the nuts and everything. And if you're not sure, this is kind of what it looks like when it's installed. Now, yours may go above the axle if you have an overslung versus underslung setup.
Totally just depends on your setup. Excuse me. Make sure you're checking that fit before you install. So again, 2 3/8 inches wide inside. Usable length, so from the top of the curve here down to the end of the threads, about 5 1/8 inches long.
And these are a stronger thread engagement, meaning they're 1/2 inch by 20 threads. That's gonna give you a superior holding strength. And then, obviously, the nuts that come with them are gonna marry up perfectly. And then they even have some of these little ridges to help them dig in whenever you get them tight and torqued down. So, again, folks, this is one set.
One set's gonna give you enough to do one spring. So if you're doing a full axle, you technically need two sets of these to do one complete axle. Again, these are built for about 3,500-pound axle service size. That's about smaller kind of trailers and those kind of things, so. I'm Steve with etrailer.
