Ellen: Hey everybody, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're taking a quick look at the replacement hardware for your Blue Ox spring bar. If something happened to that original hardware, maybe it got rusted out, or damaged, or bent, or something else happened to it, and you just need this hardware to replace, this is going to be a great way to do it without having to replace the entire unit. I will say, though, if your weight distribution went through something like a crash, or some other kind of catastrophic failure, it's probably a good idea to get a whole new replacement. But again, if just the hardware is bad, everything else is fine and is up to code and all that good stuff, then this is going to be an easy way to fix that hardware.It's going to come with everything you see laid out on the table here; I'll go over those parts with you. We'll get our two U bolts; these are going to be 3/8" bolts, and then we'll have our locking 3/8" nuts to go with that, and also the fender washers, one for either end. As far as the size of the nut, to take it off, it looks to be about a 1/2", maybe about 9/16", actually, to get that off.
The distance of the U bolt, or the total length here, about 2". Distance in between the two posts is about an 1 1/4", just to give you some reference points, in case you're not using this for the same application, maybe you want to use some of it for someone else, just for reference.That's pretty much it for a quick look at the replacement U bolt kit for your Blue Ox weight distribution. Although we haven't used it yet...it is exactly the part I needed to replace. The ubolts on my arms were bent pretty badly. Searched everywhere to buy them for my mechanic to install. Nobody sells these. Had to order on etrailer.com. agent was very helpful and product arrived on time! I recommend etrailer.com for any parts tou need for any blu ox unit! We will be taking trailer out this weekend and have every confidence in this product.
The go-to site for camper trailer parts. I had checked locally at our three major hardware stores, but U-bolts were not in stock at the necessary weight.
The online video was exactly right for clarifying that I was ordering what I needed to replace U-bolts that were damaged by a bottoming-out. Keeps my weight distribution spring bars in order.

I reached out to the manufacturer and if the u bolts break then it is typically from the system bottoming out or having too much tongue weight for the bars to handle.
Very fast and efficient service. Could not find the product in Albuquerque. One of the places suggested you pulled it up on ocmputer. they only made large U bolts

Appreciate the prompt service and happy that you had exactly what I needed. These were replacements for a 5 year old Blue Ox weight distribution hitch that I was refinishing. Fair amount of rust and bolts were also stripped after I removed the old nuts. Glad that these were available.

It is what I ordered. It took a while, but that due to blizzard up north
It's almost impossible to find U-bolts in grade 5 or 8.
I'm cleaning up a Blue Ox Sway pro and cut off the old bolts.
So, finding the kit at a reasonable price was a no brainer.
I degraded one star because the washers don't appear to be grade 5.
I'll get some at Lowe's.
