Video Transcript for Review of TST TPMS Sensor - TPMS for RVs - TST37FR

Hi, everybody Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our TST TPMS, or tire pressure monitoring system, for your RVs with a nice grayscale display and included signal booster with four tire sensors. Now, TPMS, as you know already, lets you monitor your RV's tire pressure and temperature via the included monitor. And it's also gonna work great with motor homes, fifth wheels, motor coaches, and trailers. Now, as I mentioned, the grayscale widescreen monitor here will provide early warning detection with audio and visible alerts. It's got connection points in the back for this included windshield or dash mount as well.

Now, it's gonna detect blowouts, significant pressure changes, and tire temperature if it exceeds 158 degrees. So it's gonna automatically alert you if those kinda things happen. It refreshes automatically with new tire information every five minutes, and it presets or lets you monitor up to four separate vehicles or orientations. Now, they give you included stickers here so you can mark the caps and know which one is which on the screen and on the monitor. And they check tire pressure and temperature every 12 seconds on the sensor checks.

Now, they are made of a brass construction, and they're designed for use on steel, chrome, or nickel valve stems. They're super simple to install. You just simply twist them onto the valve stems. They have theft-resistant covers. They require the use of the special wrench here for removal or fastening.

That way, no one can just come up and take 'em off. Now, you can get more sensors sold separately and monitor up to four trailers for a total of 115 tires, including spare tires. So you can get all that separately here if you need more. Now, they give you multiple mounts to allow optional mounting position on the monitor. Like I said, that or just the dash pad here.

You gotta charge system here for your 12-volt accessory. You get the booster signal and everything with the wiring and in the inline fuse included, all your O rings, all the double-sided adhesive that you need for installing. Well folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up for a quick look at this TST TPMS system with a grayscale display. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Excellent customer service!

by:

Works great. The downside is we have to remove the sensors to check add/remove air. Wish we would have ordered the regular sensors

by:

Easy to install, easy to use and seems reliable so far.

by:

After owning it for a year, TST TPMS = POM (Peace of mind)

by:

Excellent product, very quick shipping and really easy to install

by:

The tire monitor seems good. The directions were not very well organized and left as many questions as instructions. The monitor connected easily and seems to stay connected in my short time of using so far. Caution: I did not realize when I bought this that rigid metal tire stems are required. Rubber ones are not stiff enough to support the weight of the monitor. I had to spend an additional $80 to replace the rubber stems with metal.

by:

Very easy set up and working well.

by:

Customer service was really great. I am very happy with the product that I had received.

by:

I forget I have it, which is the goal I think. The battery life on this thing is great. We travel 2-3 times per month, so I get a few months of life before I need to charge the head unit. The signal mostly worked before I hooked up the repeater it comes with. With the repeater in the battery bay, the tires sync up quickly.

by:

These work very well. I placed the little monitor on top of the dash to easily check the numbers. One time we were in very cold temps and the pressures were down below the limit I had set--boy howdy, the alarm works well!
Would I buy these again?? Yep.
Thanks etrailer

by:

Would buy again and would recommend to others. Product was easy to install but programming can be frustrating. Display works great and is easy to see. Repeater antenna was absolutely necessary and with it no dropped readings. Metal valve stems are required.

by:

Had a little trouble with the shipment on time but Hanna explained & took care of it. Great lady & extremely friendly & knowledgeable.

by:

Pretty good product. Setup was a little cumbersome but I got through it with the included directions. It is meant for an tractor trailer with many axles so that is annoying that you have to cycle through all the extra tire locations during setup but in the end it works well.

by:

Great peace of mind now while towing my 29' travel trailer. Wish I had purchased it sooner. I have had mt share of flat tires on my travel trailer with two of them I did not even realize I had a flat and my tire shredded and had to buy a new tire. One of them even damaged the tire in front of it but I did not see anything until that tire went flat on the same trip.
So glad I will be alerted right away and likely save a tire from being destroyed or save me from possibly having an accident with the inability to stop properly if my tire was flat. Again, great peace of mind! I truly recommend this product 100%.

On a trip a couple of years ago, we had a blow-out on one of the tires on the travel trailer. I have towed trailers for 40+ years, both cargo and travel trailers and I have always been able to detect when something was amiss. This time, however I was shocked when I had no idea that a tire blew until I was flagged down by a passing motorist. It was just luck that the trailer itself was not damaged. I decided to purchase a TPMS.

The system installed easily. The repeater transmitted the data without problem to the in-cab receiver. The rechargeable in cab receiver did not require recharging except at the end of a three week trip and even then there was plenty left.

I did have some problem understanding the instructions on how to program the unit, specifically, deleting un-needed axles as this unit is made with 18 wheelers in .Once I got the hang of it, things went smoothly. I will come back to report any issues, but for now it's a 5 star for performance. No deduction for my problems on programming.

by:

Love the TPM’s One problem was the contriful forse of the wheels made the units hit against the tire rims,, solved by installing metal valve stems. I covld have been told that

by:

Neil took care of my problem quickly

by:

This product works well

by:

Watch the video on programing. It's so much easier. So happy I got this system. I hadn't checked my tire pressure in over a year. 15 pounds low on all tires. Not any more. So much safer now.

by:

Useless warranty. Please note etrailer will not support this product but refers problems to the manufacturer. TPMS performed fine for over a year but one sensor failed and is no longer transmitting. TST, the manufacturer, requires the defective unit be returned for "evaluation" before they will replace -- or return if it meets their performance spec. We will be traveling for the next four months and I have no idea where we will be to receive a replacement - or my original defective - sensor. Since their process will take at least two weeks and I will be at the same park for one more week, I offered to purchase a replacement and they could credit me if my returned unit is defective. Nope, gotta follow the procedure. Thanks a lot, TST.

It works great! I am able to monitor my 5th wheel camper tires and not worry if I have a low or damaged tire.

by:

As always, etrailer.com delivered on time. My display quit and i was wanting to add the TOAD TPMS anyways so this worked out well.

by:

Works very well. Almost instant warning for rapid deflation plus ongoing temperature and pressure monitoring.

by:

Great product. We had one prior for 10 years and works great keeping an eye on our flat two vehicle tires.

  • Replacement Tire and Wheel Recommendations for a 2005 Casita Spirit Travel Trailer
Hey Clay, thanks for reaching out! The largest tire you'll be able to fit to your 2005 Casita Spirit is 235/75R15, which are all off-road tires. Anything larger than that requires a different bolt pattern so you would also have to swap out your hub/drums. If you're cool with off-road tires then the combination you're looking for is the Westlake ST235/75R15 Radial Tire w 15" Phoenix Aluminum Wheel # LH52FR, but if you'd rather have less aggressive tire treads then I recommend picking up...
