Maintaining a functioning lighting system for your boat trailer is required by law. Make your life simpler by installing lights that you can trust be to be submerged regularly. The housing and lens of this light are sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light to damage the diode or circuit board. Also, a special urethane potting is used to encapsulate the circuit board, further ensuring protection from moisture and dust.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light on either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. Rather than buying side marker and clearance lights separately, you can mount this single, PC-rated light at a 45-degree angle on the rear corner of your trailer to act as both.

Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer. Today, we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq recessed mount mini red LED clearance side marker trailer light with the rubber grommet. Now you, as you can see, this is a nice, small, one-inch round LED light. It's gonna serve as a rear side marker and clearance light on your trailer. And it is a PC-rated light, which just means that it's gonna produce 180 degrees of red light to indicate the position of your trailer.
It is a sealed, waterproof unit, includes a durable polycarbonate housing, and a UV-resistant lens. Makes it submersible. Does use military-grade construction on the circuit board and urethane potting, which will give you better protection than common epoxy potting. It is a premium LED. It is energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant.
It is rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation and as we mentioned, you can see it includes the rubber grommet for installation. Now, what I wanna do is I have some 12-volt power hooked up, so I just wanna show you how bright the light is and you have two wires, a white and a black wire, and they do use barrel connectors, you can see. So, if we take our ground and we touch it to the ground portion, and then if we take our black, you can see when we touch it to the black, it'll get you your red light. And now, what I'm gonna do is we're gonna go ahead and turn off the overhead lights and try to turn it on and give you an idea what it's gonna look like. Oops, get the connections made here and there's your light in the darkness, bright, one light, LED light.
Go ahead and disconnect it. Turn back on our overhead lights. (coughs) Now, it is a red lens over one red LED. It is compatible with a 12-volt DC system. As we mentioned, it is a recessed mount installation with the included rubber grommet.
It will require a 3/4 inch diameter cutout to fit in. And also, we mentioned the barrel connectors. These will plug into your trailer's matching connectors. The wire length on this, overall length's about eight inches. Dimensions, one inch diameter, about 7/8 of an inch thick, and without the grommet's about 3/4 inch diameter and 7/8 inch thick. Input voltage on this is 9 volts to 14 volts. Now, if you do have any other additional questions regarding this part or any other item we carry, please feel free to reach out to us and we can help you get all of your questions answered.
