Maintaining a functioning lighting system for your boat trailer is required by law. Make your life simpler by installing lights that you can trust be to be submerged regularly. The housing and lens of this light are sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light to damage the diode or circuit board. Also, a special urethane potting is used to encapsulate the circuit board, further ensuring protection from moisture and dust.
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light on either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. Rather than buying side marker and clearance lights separately, you can mount this single, PC-rated light at a 45-degree angle on the front corner of your trailer to act as both.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this mini clearance submersible amber LED and amber lens side marker light with grommet. Now, this small, round amber LED light is going to serve as a front side marker and clearance light for your trailer. This PC-rated light is going to produce a 180-degree arc of amber light to indicate the position of your trailer. So you can see just how bright this is with my studio lights on.
Let me turn those off to give you a better idea of what this is going to look like in low light or dark conditions. I'm gonna zoom back out here just so you can see what this is going to look like from a distance. So this premium LED is energy efficient, it's long-lasting, and it's vibration resistant. Just shining that on the wall behind me. This is rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation, and this is an amber lens over an amber LED.
So let me go ahead and turn my studio lights back on. So I'm gonna go ahead and disconnect this from power. And this is going to be a one inch in diameter light and the thickness is 7/8 of an inch. And then the dimensions without the grommet, that's gonna knock down the diameter to 3/4 of an inch. And again, it's gonna be right at 7/8 of an inch thick.
So this is obviously a recessed mount installation with this included grommet and it does require a 3/4 of an inch diameter cutout. And this sealed waterproof unit includes a durable polycarbonate housing and UV resistant lens and military grade construction of the circuit board and the urethane potting is going to offer better protection than common epoxy potting. This is 12 volt DC compatible and you're gonna hook this up with the 0.156-inch barrel connectors. They're gonna plug into your trailer's matching connectors. This is going to meet or exceed the FMVSS 108 standards.
