This small but powerful 1" diameter amber light uses a single premium LED that’s energy efficient, vibration resistant, and rated for up to 100,000 hours of operation. It runs on 9V–14V DC and draws only 0.03–0.06 amps, making it ideal when you want bright visibility without adding load to your electrical system. If your trailer lives around water, this light is built for it. The housing and lens are sealed together into one waterproof unit, and the circuit board is encapsulated in TecSeal urethane potting—offering better protection than standard epoxy. With an IP68 rating, it’s fully dustproof and submersible, so you don’t have to worry about leaks or corrosion when launching or towing in wet conditions.
One PC-rated light does the job of two. It produces a 180-degree arc of amber light—90 degrees on either side of centerline—for full front corner visibility. That wide beam makes it effective as both a clearance light and a side marker when mounted at a 45-degree angle. It meets or exceeds FMVSS 108 standards, giving you reliable compliance and safety in one compact package.
Space is tight on many trailers, but this light fits neatly wherever you need it. It installs in a standard 3/4" diameter cutout using the included grommet for a recessed mount that stays secure and watertight. The two-wire harness design—one for power and one for ground—with a 9" pigtail keeps wiring quick and simple. At just 7/8" thick, it tucks in close without snagging on gear or cargo.
The durable polycarbonate housing and UV-resistant lens are made from automotive-grade materials that stand up to sunlight, impact, and road debris. Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com, today we're gonna take a look at this TecNiq Recess Mount Mini Amber LED Clearance, or Side Marker Trailer Light, with the rubber grommet. Now this is a nice small one inch diamond around LED light that'll serve as a front side marker and a clearance light for your trailer. It is a sealed waterproof unit, includes a durable polycarbonate housing and a UV resistant lens. And they do use the military grade construction of the circuit board. Offers urethane potting off, gives you better protection in the common epoxy potting and the LED they use on this is a premium LED. It is energy efficient, long lasting, and vibration resistant.
It is rated for up to about a hundred thousand hours of operation. Now you can see it as a two wire, power and a ground, so what I'm gonna do is go ahead and hook this up to some 12 volt power just so we can see what the light looks like when it's turned on, get it all hooked up. And turn on our 12 volt. And there you can see the amber LED, I'll go ahead and turn off the overhead light and you can see how gives off a nice bright amber LED. Go ahead and zoom out just to show you from a distance, what it would look like as a clearance or side marker light.
I'll go ahead and turn off our, or turn back on our overhead lights, we'll go ahead and turn off our power. As I mentioned, it is an amber lens over one amber LED. It is compatible with 12 volt DC system. Now to install this, it is a recess mount installation. So we mentioned it comes with this included grommet.
So basically you can see if I pull this grommet down and we drill your hole it requires a three quarter inch diameter cutout. You'll push this grommet into that cutout, and then just pop your light right into the grommet, and it would hold it in place. It is a two wire harness, it'll hard wire to your trailer, power and a ground, and the wire length is about nine inches. This is a PC rated light, produces 180 degree beam when it's properly installed, and it'll meet or exceed your federal motor vehicle safety standard, 108 standards. Dimension again, is one inch, depth of it is seven-eighths of an inch, input voltage, 9 volts to 14 volts, and the power draw on this is 0.03 to 0.06 amps.

I would definitely recommend purchasing! These are my favorite style of side marker lighting, small but bright.
I replaced a Tail Marker on my flatbed truck. This one was was exactly like the existing lights and matched perfectly.
Easy installation and easy to wire. Also very bright. They were exactly what I was hoping for.
These mounted cleanly in the fenders with in the provided rubber grommets, making them nearly flush with the surface, yet has 180 degrees of light. I wired them into the existing running lights and are BRIGHT, day and especially at night! Now, I can see the where the trailer is when backing. Submersible too, which is a terrific bonus. I discovered that unlike most LED lamps I've used, these must be connected black to positive and white to ground. I did not find this small detail in the description, or the video which shows connecting to two alligator clips which were both black. This needs to be clearer, but overall, ETrailer has done it again, with items we need to keep things usable and safe.
I am happy with how fast it was delivered. But the packing worried me. The small plastic lights were just tossed into the box along with the very heavy trailer hitch. The edge of the box was torn. The heavy metal hitch could have very easily crushed the plastic items. Maybe those could have been placed inside a rolled up paper bag.
But lucking out there was no breakage.
I will review after I install. But I like it. The led light wires are big enough to splice onto other wires.

I bought the red lights and the amber lights. The polarity between the two is different. You need to be aware of that when you’re wiring them up.
The RV clearance light are much better than original ones. They are brighter and set closer to the surface. I replaced 2, 1 red and 1 amber and they fit perfectly. Wire color code was different, but just touch wires together and if it lights connect it.
When I first installed it, it seemed to be dull but it was because I didn’t have a good ground.
