Today, we're going to be talking a look at part number CAM40564. This is the Camco RV Propane Tank cover. The cover is designed to protect your propane tank from dirt, rain, and flying debris. This particular cover is going to fit 1 20 pound single tank. It's got the lead here at the top that's going to open for easy access to your valves or regulator. To gain access, all you have to do is loosen up the thumb knob here at the top.
Then this is actually going to raise up and pivot away towards the front. Then you can open up the cover and easily gain access to whatever it is that you need to on your tanks. That's a really nice design. This is something made from a heavy duty high propane construction. It is custom-molded. It's going to offer premium protection from the sun's damaging rays, so you don't have to worry about it fading.
Very easy assembly and installation, the cover is actually two pieces, so front and back. Then around the center seam, it's going to be held together using screws and lock nuts. Here on the bottom, we're going to have some bottom tabs. Those are going to have bungee holes in them. That way, you can secure the cover in place around your tank. This unit is an attractive white color, so that's going to streamline the look of your RV.
The product is made right here in the U.S.A. When it comes to the dimensions, starting with the length from edge to edge, we're looking at about 18 1/2 long. The height from the bottom to the top, it's going to be about 19 3/4 of an inch. Then the width or the depth, it's going to measure about 13 1/2 inches. That's going to do it for today's look of part number CAM40564.

I purchased the propane tank cover knowing that I would have to modify it to fit my application and it worked perfectly. The propane tanks on our horse trailer are directly in line with left rear tire on our truck and were constantly covered with mud. This cover eliminates the problem completely and looks better in the process. The modification took about 5 minutes to complete.

I received an incomplete order- no screws for assembly and no lid..
Overall it’s a very good product for what it’s meant to do. Only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because the “mounting” is a bit cheesy: just 2 small ears with holes for a bungee cord of some sort which wouldn’t do much. Basically it’s a friction fit around the tank, which is fine but not worth the 5th star. My order came missing the lid and hardware, and etrailer quickly resolved the issue with a phone call and sent out the remaining pieces next day. Customer support is always great. If you have a single 20lb tank I would recommend this product.
I cannot use the Cover with my camper. It is designed to cover one propane tank. My trailer has only one tank but there is a valve that would accommodate a second tank. The valve is in a position that gets in the way of cover. Plastic cover is assembled with small bolts and lock washers. Since I assembled it at home before I realized it won’t fit I can’t return it
Delivered on a timely manner. When I get the trailer home from having some repairs done on it I will get it installed.

Works well at keeping the dust and dirt off of the tank, also protects the gas line from the sun. no fading even after a year in the Arizona sun.
Ordering the item was very simple. I was informed with my purchase from the day I ordered it, to the day it was delivered. Assembly of the tank cover was very simple. Customer service was excellent. Highly recommend trailer.
