Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the Optronics LED Clearance and Side Marker Trailer Light. This is going to be a submersible LED light, so it's going to be a lot longer lasting than your typical incandescent light. Our LEDs are going to last longer, there's no brittle filaments that can break, so we won't have to worry about changing out any bulbs. These are also going to be a brighter, more efficient light with less power draw, so just a really great replacement for the old incandescent bulbs.Has a two prong plug there to work with your 12.. Or two prong plugs, so you can use this with part number A46PB, or A86PB.
Those are sold separately. And they just plug in the back there to get your wiring connected. So I'm going to plug this into my power so we can get a better idea of what this is going to look like whenever it's lit up on your trailer.Now the wiring is sold separately. You can find that here at etrailer.com. Got that all connected to power and ground, and you can see it's a really nice bright light and we can still see that light even from the side.
So that's what lets us use this as a clearance and a side marker light. So that's how it gets that PC rating. Basically means you can use it as both at the same time. It just has that little node to help reflect the light, even at a 90 degree angle that.. Or 180 degrees.I'm going to turn the lights out the studio, that way you can get a better idea of what it looks like in the dark.
So it's still really nice and bright. We'll have seven diodes to provide that lighting function. So even if I pull it away from the table, still looks nice and bright. I'm going to turn the lights back on, and we'll go over some more specs on this light.Now in addition to that wiring plug, you can also get a recessed grommet to seat this into. Something like part number A55GB, which would be a flush mount, and then A56GB, which would be a recessed mount.
So basically those grommets just help to finish up the look of the light and give it something to seat into. So like this one, this is actually part number A57GB. So it's pretty much the same as 56, it just has a more open back there. But you just push your light down into place, and helps to give it some more road shock protection and make it look a little cleaner.Now as far as the dimensions of our light, it is two and a half inches in diameter from outside edge to outside edge. And then about an inch and an eighth thick, going from the top of this node to the back of our wiring plugs. The cover itself is right about an inch. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.057, so real low power draw for as bright as this light is. There is a lifetime warranty on the LEDs from Optronics. Again, it is PC rated and DOT compliant.So all in all, this is going to make a great light for any kind of trailer, whether that's a marine trailer, enclosed trailer, or what have you. Polycarbonate lens is going to do a great job protecting our light as well. And that's going to do it for our look at the Optronics LED Clearance and Side Marker Trailer Light.

Had trouble tracking these specific lights down online. I have bought a few things from etrailer before and they always deliver exactly as advertised. These are a direct replacement for the lights that I had which seemed impossible to find!
I replaced the original amber bulb side marker lights with these etrailer LED multifunctional lights on my RV and they work great. The original lights didn't blink when marking turns and I wanted drivers to have a better indication when I wanted to change lanes. I had to do some minor rewiring, but I'm pleased with the outcome.

Great bright lights. My quad axle milk tank has 25 of them and in the past year I’ve had several leak in water, and have diodes fail. Love the lights otherwise. They’re supposed to be submersible so once I get a few changed out hopefully I quit having water issues.
We love the brightness of these led marker/clearance lights!
