This coupler features a simple-to-use latching mechanism known as the eZ-Latch. With this mechanism, hooking up is as easy as dropping the coupler over your trailer hitch ball. The latch does not need to be tugged or manually activated to allow the ball into the coupler socket, nor does it have to be secured in place. Just make sure that the coupler is properly lined up with the ball when you lower it, and the rest is automatic. Disengaging the coupler is just as effortless. Simply lift up the contoured handle and the coupler socket will automatically release its grip on the ball.

Works flawless, only complaint is it did not fit as tight as it should I needed to shim the sides to get it tight. After I installed it, and tight I’m very happy

nice product, only thing wrong with it is the lever is made of plastic, other than that great design. If it was metal this would be a 5 star

Fit perfect on my aluminum Triton snowmobile trailer tongue. The top 2 bolt holes were a perfect match for the existing holes on the trailer. I did have to drill the tongue for the third bottom hole, which was easy since it’s aluminum. Hooked up to my truck in the driveway just to see how well it would work and it works awesome! Just lower it in and it clicks into place!
Huge upgrade over the Shelby trigger coupler that I could never get adjusted properly.

Will fit a 2021 23’ neo enclosed snowmobile trailer
This is amazingly easy to use. Not only do you just drop it on the hitch ball and go, but you don't even need (or want) a safety pin. It is rated for use without a pin. You just drop it on and take off. Of course, removal from the hitch is both easy and positive. You pull up on the handle and it disengages. What's not to love. The installation was easy too.

I like this coupler - allows you to get the ball anywhere under the coupler and just drop the coupler onto the ball - it’s pretty forgiving to misalignment.
Very easy to install. No more forgetting to latch receiver and punching a hole in my tailgate. Highly recommend these hitches.

Glad to hear that worked out so well for you. That’s a pretty big upgrade from the old style couplers, and not having to worry about forgetting to latch it is a huge peace of mind. That’s a great photo too, everything looks clean and solid. What kind of trailer are you running that setup on?
I know it says that a pin isn't needed. But old habits....It won't accept a pin, locking requires a special lock that may also have difficulty going through the hole that the pin won't go through. Otherwise built solid and installation was pretty easy.

The pin hole diameter for the DM13689-95 coupler is 5/16" and the pin should span at least 2 1/2" to fit. The most common trailer lock for this coupler is the etrailer Surge Brake Coupler Lock - 3-3/8" Span - 1/4" Diameter part # e98888. Since this is only a 1/4" in diameter it should easily fit into the 5/16" hole on this coupler! If you try out this pin let us know if you're still having difficulty locking the coupler.

For the Demco # DM13689-95 eZ-Latch coupler, we recommend the # e98887 which would install into the hole that is on the side underneath the top latch.
