Question:

I have a prostar trailer made in 2006. Model number SS50803WGBK. I want to replace the coupler mechanism with one of your repair mechanisms. My trailer uses a 2 ball. What do you recommend?

I have an option for you, but I was not able to locate much on your trailer using that model number. Repair kits like the Repair Kit for etrailer and Ram A-Frame Couplers # CA-5100-RK are for specific couplers. If you are just needing that kind of repair, I would need to know what coupler you have.

If you are meaning the entire coupler assembly, I recommend going with the Demco A-Frame Trailer Coupler # DM14793-81 (a-frame trailer) or the Demco Channel Tongue Trailer Coupler # DM13689-95 (straight tongue trailer).

Either option will provide you with a 10,000 lb. coupler capacity and features the eZ-Latch mechanism with composite latch handle to help ensure a simple, secure hookup and disconnect. You can even hook up when the latch is in the closed position, you just drop the coupler over hitch ball and the latch will snap into place.
