Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Demco DA10 manual lockout kit for your hydraulic brake actuator. Now this manual lockout kit is designed specifically for the DA10 hydraulic brake actuators, and this is going to prevent your brakes from activating while backing up your trailer. So this is going to give you simple mechanical control. No wiring is required, and these durable components are built for long-term performance, easy installation with the included hardware, and I just kind of loosely put it together here to kind of give you an idea of how each of the parts are gonna go. So you're gonna get three components here, along with instructions to guide you through that installation process.
Now if you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this manual lockout kit, or anything else that we carry, don't hesitate to reach out. We wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Ratings & Reviews
This is for the DA-10 model… The part is great. The instructions are not good. They say to pull 2 pins, slide the coupler out, flip a slider piece around and re-install.
You have to actually remove the 2 large pins, remove the rear pin the holds the shock absorbers, remove and magically wiggle out the emergency cable actuator then you can pull out the coupler far enough to flip over the slider piece. I even called the manufacture to make sure I was not doing too much work and they said I was on the right track.
So be aware this 5 minutes project takes a bit longer and the emergency cable actuator will frustrate you… you have to lean the lever to the side to pull it out and put it back in. You have to maneuver it around the mechanical stuff inside.
