When the road turns white and steep, these low-carbon steel twist-link chains give your dual tires the bite they need. The rounded links dig into deep snow for excellent traction and solid grip on packed surfaces. Because the twist links roll more smoothly than square ones, you get steady traction without harsh jolts through the truck. The ladder-style pattern also helps the tires get moving and stop cleanly on slick climbs or downhill grades.
Each chain wraps over both tires on one side of your rear axle, so the pair works as a single traction surface. That linked coverage helps balance power across both tires and keeps the truck straight when the snow piles up. The set includes two dual-tire chains—one for the driver’s side and one for the passenger’s side—so both sides pull their weight when conditions get tough.
The low-carbon steel construction is tough enough to handle repeated winter runs. At 0.218" thick, each link stands up to snow, slush, and frozen dirt without bending out of shape. The steel resists wear and keeps its strength through many freeze-thaw cycles. It’s a solid setup for anyone who needs reliable performance at up to 30 mph in deep snow or mixed on- and off-road conditions.
These chains use a straightforward lever-style connection instead of cams, so there’s nothing to pop loose when backing up or bouncing through uneven terrain. Once the hooks are locked in, the fit stays secure. For an even tighter hold, add rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) to keep everything centered and snug while you drive through changing snowpack.
Everything you need for one axle comes in the box—two dual-tire chains that fit 15"–17" tires and a reusable canvas storage bag. After the trip, just dry them off and pack them away until the next storm. They’ll be ready when the next mountain pass or rural snow zone demands real traction.
These chains fit the following tire sizes:

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline, and today, we'll be taking a look at our Titan Chain Twist Link Snow Tire Chains for your dual tires right here at etrailer. Now, your dual tires have limited options when it comes to getting that extra traction on the road, but even with the limited options, we definitely have options for your different situations. If you need a lot of traction on a lot of ice, you might be considering the tire chains that have the V-bars or the cleats. Now, if you're expecting a lot of snow or a lot of mud, that's where these twist links come in handy. So we'll talk about that as well as mentioning other options for your dual tires for your different situations. So these are heavy-duty chains in a ladder pattern, so for some of your other tire chains, you can get them as a diamond pattern, you don't really have that ability though for dual tires.
So that ladder pattern is gonna be your traditional type of tire chains, you are gonna hear a babump babump on the road, but you'll also be feeling that grip on the road in the snow and the ice. Now, these tire chains are made of a low carbon steel, which means that they're extra durable, extra sturdy. Some other tire chains use an alloy like a manganese nickel alloy, those are more focused on corrosion resistance and handling the salt and the ice, this can do that too, but again, its focus is durability for those rocks and for the ice, which means if you do wanna use this for multiple seasons, please just double check your chains before putting them on your tire to make sure they hadn't corroded or anything like that. You can also get a version of these twist link chains with cam, so it's gonna look pretty much the same, they're just gonna have extra cam tensioners. I personally recommend getting the cam version, because it's gonna be faster and easier to tension things down, but also, because you'll have the included cam tensioner tool, which will make it easier for you to install that middle connection.
Speaking of that middle connection, that's what makes these chains are designed for dual tires, different from those chains that are designed for single tires. You're gonna have to connect it in the front, in the back, as well as in the middle. That can be tricky, but I have a special trick for that. So what I do is I put the link that needs to be connected right over your cam tensioner and use this to feed it through your tires. So using the tool, just pull the chains through, and then you can connect the other hook.
Now, these tensioners are not included with your tire chain, these are gonna be an add-on accessory, that way you have constant tension all throughout. Even if your chains are shifting around, this is shifting with it. Your chains will arrive in a canvas bag like this, and since we do send your chains for your axle, you will get two of these canvas bags. Some other chains arrive in hard shell or soft shell cases, which I personally prefer, but this is still a great way to store it inside your truck for whenever you need it. So quick summary is if you are looking for a tire chain that has a smoother ride than square links of a similar design, or if you're expecting a lot of deep snow and mud, but you still want that heavy-duty traction that can handle off-road situations or rocks or ice, then this is gonna be a great option for you, this was the ladder style chain that is designed with these twist links for your dual tires..

Great Service. Thank you. I will buy a lot more from you.
This is the exact product I ordered
Have not needed them
These arrived on time and look fairly rugged. I look forward to not getting stuck in the snow and mud.
Fast service and follow up on my order. Will buy from them again.
Easy to put on. Transformed my truck from not being able to drive at all in the snow to unstoppable!
Had to reorder my rear chains and etrailer made it right and was quick about it, 3 days to my front door.
Thanks,
Robert
F-350 DRW. Looks well made and should be great, but I opened first bag, got chain untangled in about 5 min, inspected, all good. However after opening second bag, it was so tangled up, took about 30 min to get straight. Inspected, looks fine. A big PIA.
I just got them two days ago, I have not put them on, used them or has it snowed. Although I love etrailers easy to use web site, prices and service I can never understand why they try to rush the review. I cannot imagine it is helpful to anyone for me to say they are bright and shiny and possible would work well if I had a chance to use them.
Super fast delivery of a well packaged heavy set of dual wheel tire chains. Very pleased, I will do business with etrailer again.
Customer service was great. Tire chains seem solid. Won't need to use them for a while so can't say for sure.
The product that I ordered was back ordered from the Manufacturer. etrailer.com customer service staff kept me informed about the situation and made sure that I received my items prior to the departure on my trip. Customer Service is the most important thing a company can offer on items that are available from several vendors and I have to say the team at etrailer.com is outstanding.
Fast and courteous service
We decided to purchase these on the off-chance my husband would need them on a delivery job he did.
My husband told me
"These were really easy to install!"
They fit perfectly thanks to (I think it was..) Ashley! I had looked up what I thought were the correct chains, she double checked, I was incorrect!
The personal service, the knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond by confirming I get the right equipment... AWESOME!!! Thank you ;)
Chains worked great after you experiment on the best way to install... First time for me to install dually chains... After they are installed they worked great!
Application: 2017 Ram 3500 DRW. Road test: Hwy 50 from California near the Nevada line (into South Lake Tahoe); chains (or snow tires) required.
The chains worked great! It was snowing pretty good. I installed the chains on the side of the road prior to the "chains required" checkpoint. I had my headlamp prepared which was the key to an efficient install in low-light conditions. Naturally, manipulating the chains during install was twice the fun! But with some good gloves, a headlamp, and 3 slight repositions of the truck, they came on and were readjusted in about 30 min. I thought that was pretty good time considering the conditions and being safe around the other vehicle traffic.
The truck handled great. I capped my speeds at 30MPH, which did not happen that much given the few straightaways in that particular stretch of road. After a few miles the chains seemed to really settle in and my ride was pretty smooth. No excessive noise.
I found an awesome parking lot to remove the chains in South Lake Tahoe before getting into Nevada. (I probably could have kept them on through the city and on downgrade into Nevada, but it all worked out.) The lighting helped a LOT. However, it still took me about 25 min to remove the chains because I had trouble unlocking the inside tire on one side. Be ready to crawl and spend some time underneath your truck. The clearance underneath the Ram 3500 was plenty to get in there and sift through the chain to find the lever lock.
Sorry - no pictures. As soon as I had them off, it dawned on me I never took any pictures. If chains are required next time I make that run, I will try to remember to snap a few. Overall - they're good chains. Durable, and provided great traction if you want to run double chains on your dually. Remember good gloves and a headlamp, and make it an adventure not a chore.
