V-Bar Icebreakers
The V-shaped studs (also known as icebreakers, spikes, or cleats) that are built into these twist-link tire chains bite into ice, providing superior grip for a safer ride on ice-covered roads.
Installation
1. Drape the chain over both tires of your dual-tire setup, making sure that the center chain is between the tires and that the V-bars are facing out. (You can also lay the chain out and then drive onto it.)
2. Drive forward about 1/4 of a tire revolution.
3. Fasten the ends of the chain together.
4. Drive forward a bit and tighten the chain as needed by moving the hook to the next link.
You can use rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) to increase the tension on the chains for a tighter fit.
How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle
To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

I’m impressed. These tire chains are the real deal. I looked at various options online, Amazon, etc. I found etrailer. First, the web page is packed with info, tutorials, etc. once I ordered there was continuous communication. I downgraded from a 4x4 to a 4x2, and drive up to Buffalo, NY, from coastal Carolina. These chains are impressive and will provide traction and ease of mind going through the snow belt areas along Lake Erie and parts of the blue ridge mountains. I’ve hit heavy snow on this trip and wished I had a good tire chain. This resolved it. Installing is a breeze be sure to get the tire chain adjusters with them! Excellent service!

These chains fit well and are working great on our Kubota X1120D that we plow snow with. We plow on a 12% grade that gets icy so chains are necessary. The drive is sand and gravel so aggressive chains are fine. Our snow is usually wet and heavy. I would buy these again. etrailer was very helpful with this purchase as it seems this type of chains are hard to come by so the worked to find a supplier that could provide.

Excellent chains. Used them extensively this last November getting up and down a snowed over road and snow/iced over rocky trail up the mountain in CO. They didn’t break on the rocks and got great traction on ice, got me out of several miles of 3ft of snow with ice underneath. I highly recommend the steel spring chain tensions. When properly installed you can get these chains nice and tight. I can only run chains on my rear tires due to upper control arm clearance issues (‘08 Tacoma) so I’m giving my second pair to my brother (‘12 f150) for his rear tires.

I am impressed with the Titan Snow Tire Chains I purchased recently. They appear to be well made and sturdy. They fit my tires and were easy to install. The V-Bar links allow me to drive into the woods with the confidence that I will be able to return home safely.

Great chains! Killer grip. They go on quickly and I learned which links to select to put on once and go without readjustment. They didn't keep me unstuck during that one storm last March where we had 4' of wet stuff, but I'm still learning how to deal with that much snow (or maybe I should just wait to use a skid). I'm driving an F350 with LT275/70r18 tires and can (usually) push whatever I want, including uphill 15% grade.

After spending one day of my snowmobile trip digging out my 2008 F-250, I decided to buy chains to get through a mile of unplowed road to our cabin. I bought the TC3831 with V-bar links and chain adjusters TCMA2s so I could tackle the deep snow with ice underneath. The chains were easy to put on and worked excellent on an unimproved road. The heavy 7mm links did a great job of traction and control. I would recommend to anyone that needs to get a truck and trailer to their snowmobile destination. One recommendation is to check your chain tension after spinning the tires.

My spare tire is mounted on a Roadmaster tire carrier (from etrailer) which attaches to the trailer hitch; excellent piece of hardware. That made trial fitting easy. BTW, my '85 F-250 Ford now has a 38 gallon gas tank where the spare tire used to be. I mark with red paint the outside of the chain to make it easier to see to install. The chains did not come with tie backs so I made some from stainless steel wire. The spring steel tensioners are superior in my opinion to the rubber ones, especially in freezing weather. Even though the truck is 4x4 with snow tires the law in my state and elsewhere mandates carrying tire chains anyway. Here is a big tip: when using chains try to drive on the snow, ice or gravel so that wear and tear on the chains is less...and stay under 30 mph.

Have not had to use these chains yet, but I did a practice run of hooking them up. They fit nicely and it was not too hard to install them.

These chains are well built. My 1 ton truck was in 6” deep snow when I chained up. The truck was able to tractor right up A steep hill. The binder is stout steel, not a stamped piece prone to bending. I used rubber tensioners. The combo worked great. All of my use has been off pavement this far. I bought two sets and would do it again.

All items arrived in good condition in five days on Colorado mountain area, and were easy to install. The products all appear to be of good quality and should perform as expected when used. for 2017 Ram 2500, no enough clearance on rear tires, but no problem on Front tires clearance. Recommend the V-bar links and chain tighteners used on off-road snow and ice, 4 wheels drive, front ties for 2017 Ram 2500

These chains make a huge difference. I feel confident on out snowy roads in Northern Idaho. I did break off one cross chain when really pushing them, but otherwise they provide great traction and I'm considering another set for the front tires.

Work great. Easy to put on. Great in the mountains with snow and ice on forest service roads. I put them on a 2019 Dodge Ram Rebel.

Chains carried 30day warranty. They broke any few weeks after their warranty expired and didn’t even last a full season. Do not invest your money into these poorly designed chains- too weak for heavy duty trucks. I’m very disappointed and glad they didn’t break anything else like break lines or something.

Amazingly fast shipping! The tracking the company has set up is probably the best there is. I have to keep etrailer in mind and stay away from [another website]...found these chains for the best price here on etrailer!

These chains are the best! Don't forget the rubber adjusters TCMA2.

Tire chains are exactly as described. Fast shipping.. got them today and put them on my 285/65 r18 tires.. perfect fit. Tried them out in the snow in the backyard, went through almost 8 inches with no problem in 2 wheel drive... cant wait to get out on the frozen lake and put them to the real test on the ice.

My tire size is not printed on the chain container so I had to search the internet and Titan's product catalog to verify they are the correct size. The chains are the correct size. The container should include my tire size. Tire chains I have purchased in the past have always included a container suitable for storing them when they are not in use. This set came in a light duty plastic bag, inside a fabric bag. The plastic is likely to fail after the first use of the chains. The fabric bag is a light material which I don't expect to last. The fabric bag also does not include any means of keeping it closed. When I place the chains in the bed of my truck, I anticipate that the chains will spill out of the bag at the first turn I make. Very poor packaging.

Tires chains: why did i wait so long? etrailer.com was easy to deal with as usual. My only complaint is that i had to go to another vendor to buy plastic ramps to ease installation. My neighbor has a pair and they are perfect. I own a second home on a hill in the snow belt of Pennsylvania. After years of plowing, melting snow and ice, sliding off the driveway more times that i can count i stopped plowing the hill and put chains on the four wheel drive parked at the bottom of the driveway. The snow piles up and and truck goes up and down like it is on a dry road. I didn't use the low range once all winter. After a couple of tries the chains are a breeze to mount. No good for dry roads but magic on snow and ice. Worth twice the price.

Great quality chains at a great price! I had to get another set of chains for larger tires, this price was comparable to the price I paid for the 17" tires. I have gone through a foot of snow and over thickly covered icy mountain roads with no slipping. I highly recommend the "V" chains for any icy conditions. I'm good to go, just waiting for the snow!

Perfect fit for my Superduty plow truck. Makes a huge difference during the wet, heavy snow and sleet season up here in the Arrowhead!
Review from a similar V-Bar Ladder in Tire Chains
They keep me on the road as much as is reasonable to expect. They are grippier that other chains I’ve used, but also seem to be more finicky to tighten and tore up my mud guards with the v-bars. Using them on a 98 rav4, 2wd. I would probably get something different for my specific vehicle if I had to go back, but these really do grab the road when you need it!

Installed one set on rear tires just to be familiar with installation should I ever need them. They fit nicely and are very well made. Tires are 285 70 R18 and they fit snugly with three links dropped.
