Wiring a trailer can be tricky when you have to cut into factory wires, but this harness skips all that. The Curt T-Connector plugs directly into the vehicle’s existing wiring ports in the rear cargo area. No wire splicing, no confusion—just a quick connection that’s ready for towing lights right away.
Some vehicles have separate turn and brake signals, while most trailers use a combined system. This harness includes a taillight converter that merges those signals automatically, so your trailer lights work exactly as they should for stop, turn, and running lights. It takes the guesswork out of wiring differences.
The connection point hides behind trim near the driver-side jack compartment, keeping the setup neat and protected from damage. Once you find the factory plug taped to the inner wall, just snap in the Curt connector and route the 4-flat end to your hitch area. The harness stays tucked away and out of sight when not in use.
The 4-pole flat connector is ready for small trailers, utility haulers, or light-duty setups that need basic lighting functions. If you ever need more connections later—like adding electric brakes or a charge line—you can pair it with kits such as ETBC6 or ETBC7 for 6- or 7-way wiring without redoing your base harness.

I was trying to order tailer wiring for a 1983 Camaro what I got/ordered was for a Chevy tracker, or three Suzuki models. The one pictured on your website showed a wiring diagram printed on the product case which does not exist on the unit delivered.

works like a charm ,solved my problem
The install was simple and easy. It only took 5 minutes and I took my time. Just tap in the ground with the provided self tapper then hook up to the trailer and go.
Great instructions helped to install this well constructed product easily.

it was super easy to install and I use it all the time. I even got it to power my backup cam.
Only took a couple days to get this hitch and wiring harness mailed to my house, very happy with that

This product was exactly what I needed to hook up my trailer lights to my car. I was so happy to get on your website and find it. And it wasn’t hard to find the video showed exactly the part I needed thank you.
The trailer harness was great it was a plug and play ones I found the 6 pin connector.

Easy way to hook up trailer wiring. I removed tail light to route wire under and along frame. Had cut notch in bottom of gasket and plastic bottom of tail light housing. Sealed with dab of silicone.
My wiring harness plug was "hidden" behind the driver's side rear wheel panel. I had to pull the panel out from the top and finesse the tape off and the plug free and back. I didn't secure the "black box", just stuffed it in the jack compartment. The connection pigtail passes out under the taillight and under the body perfectly to the hitch.
I used this factory plug in pigtail to replace a "splice job" on the tail lights. Reasonably quick, simple, easy no fuss, and it works.
I bought this trailer from HD it was all wired but not my Suzuki Grand Vitara , I looked all over town for a wiring harness , nothing then looked on the internet , found etrailer.com looked like the best one for my car and the price was right , so I ordered it and it turned out to be the best choice , it worked perfect and easy to hook up , hard to believe how good everything worked out . Once I found the vehicle wiring, just plugged in and everything worked.
The connector is behind the side panel in the luggage compartment so you have to partially remove the side panel to expose the plug.

Still working great
Easy and accurate ordering process, with fast shipping. None of the pictures or details fit where the wiring harness connection location was on my 03 Tracker. My harness connection was taped down about 2' toward the front from the Jack storage compartment. Snap-out removal of the top of the side panel from rear to back seat was required. Once you removed the tape holding the harness connection it would barely reach the Jack storage compartment.

Snapped right on wasn't sure what to do with what I guessed was the ground wire...
Called the help line... on hold for 2.5 Beetle's songs... and they confirmed my guess and suggested ways to secure it to frame
Much more difficult to install then shown in the directions. I had to remove the whole side panel on my Suzuki as the female plug as described in the directions was not just hanging down at the small access panel. It was way back 20 in. Once I found that the rest of the installation was pretty straightforward. I had to lengthen the ground wire considerably too find a place to ground it on the frame of the vehicle.

Oh boy, you are right. This harness will not fit your 1983 Camaro. Part # C58044 will fit though! You can get a return and new order set up with our customer service team! Ill send your info over to them!
