Basically, all of the hitches for the 2002 Suzuki Vitara will have the receiver directly below the rear fascia on the vehicle. The Class I hitches like # 60942 will have a little more ground clearance because the receiver is smaller. However you will be very limited in accessories and towing capacity with Class I hitches.
I have included a diagram that shows the position of the Class III Draw-Tite hitch # 41537 relative to the rear fascia. Since the outside of a Class III receiver is 2-1/2 inches square the bottom of the hitch will be approximately 3 inches below the rear fascia.
To complete your towing set up I recommend the following parts:
etrailer Ball Mount Kit, # 989900
Trailer wiring harness, # C55372
I have included links to the hitch and wiring instructions for you.

Sure would like to know the difference in the actual weight of a 1 and a quarter and a 2 inch trailer hitch? Nowhere does it mention the weight of the hitches? I dont want to be carring a lot of extra weight if there is a big difference between them.
