Helpful Expert Reply:

For towing a 3,500 lbs you would want to at least get a Class III hitch with a 3,500 lb capacity. You should note that just because the hitch is rated for 3,500 lbs that does not necessarily mean you can tow that amount. You will also need to consult the owners manual of your vehicle to check to see what towing capacities they have listed and be sure not to exceed the lowest capacity of all of the components in your setup. From the research I did it looks like your vehicle has a 1,500 lb towing capacity, you should still check out owners manual to confirm this.

Class II hitches will have lower capacities than what you would need and would not work for you.
