Adding trailer lights doesn’t have to mean stripping and splicing wires. This Curt T-Connector plugs straight into the existing wiring, giving you a 4-flat trailer connector without altering any factory circuits. Just snap it into the matching plug behind the trim panel, and you’re ready for towing lights that work right out of the box.
The built-in powered converter keeps your trailer lighting separate from your vehicle’s circuits. It uses a dedicated “Battery +” wire to power the trailer lights directly from the vehicle’s battery instead of loading down the taillight wiring. The 4-flat connector delivers all the essentials—running lights, brake lights, and turn signals—so it works with most small utility, boat, or rental trailers. It’s also easy to adapt later if you add a brake controller or upgrade to a 7-way setup.
The converter box mounts neatly inside the cargo area using double-sided tape, keeping it protected from water and road grime. When not in use, you can roll up the 4-flat and store it out of sight, then pull it out through a grommet or rear hatch whenever you need it.

I routed it different than they did on the video i went through my taillight housing and there's a gap in the rear bumper to get it under to the hitch
worked great! I routed the connector through the grommet behind the tailight down to the hitch area and the length was perfect. I paired it with item 37185 which fit directly into the factory 7 prong plug bracket on the back of the car.
Lights works great. I would have liked about 2 ft more wire to go to the front side lights. I had to add an extension to make it long enough to connect to the vehicle.
Plugs into my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and works. Chose this model because of the inline fuse. My previous one didn't have an inline fuse, which resulted in melted wires when the ground on the trailer disconnected. This one works and provides an extra layer of protection.

I recently ordered a trailer connector wiring kit 04 Jeep grand Cherokee. Shipping was great especially for Christmas time came in quickly. Installed it on the jeep, everything fit as it should I am satisfied and would recommend this product.

I still have the 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee that they were installed on and all is doing well. I am a Scout leader and hunter and pull a Scout trailer on trips and have a large flat trailer I pull on hunting and fishing trips. It went on very easy.

I ordered and received the trailer wiring kit for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. With the kit came instructions, with color pictures, for installation. I followed the install instructions as written. They were clear and simple. Everything on my Jeep was exactly where the instructions said they would be. Installation took about 30 minutes (had a couple of telephonic interruptions). Once completed I tested the circuits. All worked exactly as they were supposed to. This appears to be a well made kit, easy to install, and should last for some time. ettrailer was quick to send, web site easy to order from. Thanks, highly recommended.

Working great. Not one issue.
I payed for next day delivery on Thursday it just got here on Tuesday and it came in my brother's name not mine. But it fits and works properly. His name is Robert, my name is kevin,we live at the same address buttt....
I was skeptical since I didn’t have a factory tow package that there would be a connector inside the Grand Cherokee body. But thankfully it was, and it was a simple install. Much better than the wiring someone else had tapped into the brake light 20 years ago.
