There are many wiring harnesses available for your 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, but in order to determine which wiring harness is correct for your truck, we will want to know what your truck was originally equipped with.
The Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness, # C55381, was designed for models that were equipped with a factory tow package. If your Jeep came with a factory tow package and trailer wiring and you are looking to replace a wiring harness, then this is the correct harness for you. This harness will plug into the OEM trailer wiring harness located behind the rear bumper on the drivers side.
If your Jeep did not come with a factory tow package and wiring, then I recommend using the Curt Custom Fit Wiring Harness, # C55369. This wiring harness plugs into a green harness located behind the drivers side trim panel in the rear cargo area of your Jeep. This connector will provide you with a functioning 4-flat trailer connector to power the lights on your boat trailer.
I have attached the installation instructions for both of these wiring harnesses for you to check out.
