Heavy trailers or bed loads can make the rear end sag and throw off your steering and braking. These SumoSprings helper springs add up to 1,400 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep your ride level and stable. They help your factory suspension handle the extra weight so your tires stay planted, your headlights stay aimed right, and your driving control stays consistent when towing or hauling.
Whether it’s a light load or a heavy one, the microcellular urethane design reacts to what you’re carrying. With lighter loads, the springs compress easily for a soft, comfortable ride. As weight increases, they can compress by as much as 80 percent for solid support and better control. The progressive load control means fewer harsh jolts and more balanced handling no matter how full the bed or trailer is.

When corners or uneven loads try to push one side down, each spring works on its own to keep your vehicle balanced. This independent action helps reduce sway and body roll when turning or driving through crosswinds. The result is a planted feel that makes towing or hauling less stressful and more predictable on all kinds of roads.
The closed-cell microcellular urethane stands up to real-world abuse from oils, road salts, and UV rays. It performs in temperatures from -25 F to 200 F and compresses vertically with minimal side expansion, so it fits safely even in tight spaces without rubbing against nearby parts. With no tubing or air pressure to maintain, these springs are completely maintenance-free.
Getting the extra support doesn’t mean tearing into your suspension. The kit includes two jounce-style springs that bolt into place with a simple, no-drill installation. Once installed, they’re always ready to go—no lines to run or compressors to monitor—just steady rear-end support every time you hitch up or load down.

After a year, my first review is still accurate. Summertime is a soft ride but still able to take some weight. Wintertime is a whole other story, -11 this morning and every crack in the road felt like the rear end has no suspension at all. Just a sharp clunk. It’s manageable but also annoying, I’ll live with it for now but airbags would be a better long term option.

I continue to be pleased. There is no impact when driving with no tongue weight. It just acts for large dips with or without the trailer.

The product works as advertise. The truck rides level with the camper hitched up. Cant really tell the difference in ride when unhitched.

After a year of use they are still a five star product. They are holding up well and have again allowed me to tow trailers that are approaching the load and tow limits of my truck without any problems.
