Heavy gear in the back can make the rear end sag, throwing off handling and steering. These SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs add up to 1,800 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep things level and steady when towing or hauling a heavy load. By taking the weight off your factory suspension, they help maintain traction, steering response, and braking control so your ride feels balanced and predictable even with a full load.
The microcellular urethane springs compress progressively depending on how much weight you’re carrying. Lighter loads engage softly for a comfortable ride, while heavier loads can compress the springs by as much as 80 percent for firm support. The more you load them, the stiffer they get—keeping your suspension under control and reducing bottoming out or bounce on rough roads.
When turns or uneven loads make one side dip more than the other, each spring works on its own to balance things out. This independent action helps cut down body roll and sway so your truck stays planted through corners, crosswinds, or when backing into a sloped driveway.
Made from durable microcellular urethane, these springs resist abrasion, oils, road salt, and UV damage. They work reliably from -25 F to 200 F and are built to expand and compress vertically with minimal lateral movement, so nearby suspension parts stay safe even in tight clearances. With no airlines or air pressure to watch, this system is completely maintenance-free—just bolt them on and go.
Installing rear suspension support doesn’t have to be complicated. These helper springs are custom-fit replacements for your factory bump stops and mount using existing holes in the frame, requiring no drilling. The kit includes two jounce-style springs and all necessary hardware so you can get the added support you need without extra hassle.

The springs are working exactly as expect. I have need up to the mountains numerous times and to Monerary to the Sea Otter bike fest. They have reduced the body roll and helped keep the truck stable on the mountain roads or when loaded down for camping. Im very pleased I added these Sumo Springs to my Tacoma.
