Jounce Bumper Helper Spring Options for 2021 Toyota Tacoma

I am considering rear suspension enhancement TTORTUN4.. I have a Toyota Tacoma 2021. Is this the right enhancement for it? I dont know if I have 3 or 4 leaf springs.

Some 2021 Tacoma were equipped with 3 leaves in the springs, some with 4, so you'd just need to take a quick peek at what you have to determine which Timbren kit you'll need, as I have no way to look up how your truck is equipped.

For a 4WD with 4 leaves in the spring pack, use # TTORTUN4, for 3 leaves use # T72FR. For 2WD vehicles with 4 leaves, use # T62FR or # T72FR for 3 leaves.

This being said, the Timbren systems offer much more support than what you'd actually need to counteract the tongue weight of a trailer or cargo carried in the truck bed. You'll likely have a pretty harsh ride once the 1/2 to 1-1/2 inches of preload are taken up once the leaf springs compress and the Timbren spring sits on the axle beam.

Might I suggest a different product? The SumoSprings # SSR-612-40 offer 1400 lbs of support, the # SSR-612-47 offer 1800 lbs of support, which is more in line with what you'd need. Either fits your 2021 Tacoma regardless of whether it's a 2 or a 4WD vehicle and regardless of if you have 3 or 4 leaves in the spring pack. The SumoSprings are made of a softer material, so you'll still get all the support you need with a more comfortable ride when the rear suspension is under load.
