Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Load: Up to 5,000 lbs of Rear Suspension Support

When towing a trailer or carrying heavy cargo, sag and sway can make the drive feel sketchy. The LoadLifter 5000 air springs add up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your suspension from squatting and to maintain proper ride height. By taking pressure off the factory suspension, steering stays precise, braking feels more controlled, and headlight aim stays where it belongs. Your truck remains level and stable no matter how much gear you’re hauling.

Dial In the Ride You Want: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5 psi to 100 psi

Every load is different, and the LoadLifter 5000 lets you set it up exactly how you want. Each spring can be inflated independently for side-to-side or front-to-rear leveling, so uneven loads or off-center campers don’t throw you off balance. With pressure adjustable between 5 psi and 100 psi, you can firm things up for towing or drop to minimum pressure for everyday driving comfort. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included for simple control, and compressor options are available if you’d rather adjust on the fly.

Built Tough for Real-World Work: Reinforced Rubber and Corrosion-Proof Endcaps

Hauling heavy weight day after day means every part needs to hold up under stress. Each LoadLifter air bag is made from 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber with exclusive upper and lower roll plates that protect the springs and increase their load capacity. The endcaps are molded from high-strength Zytel nylon—lighter than steel yet stronger and totally corrosion resistant—so they won’t rust or leak over time. It’s a system built for years of towing without giving in to road grime or weather.

Simple Bolt-On Setup: No Drilling Required

Getting the LoadLifter 5000 installed doesn’t mean reworking your truck. The brackets use a bolt-on design so there’s no drilling needed, and all mounting hardware, valves, and air lines are included. Once bolted up, just inflate through the easy-access valves on the bumper and hit the road. With clear mounting points and a straightforward design, it’s an upgrade that turns a sagging rear end into a level, confident hauler without extra fabrication or guesswork.

Dodge Ram Pickup
I just completed the install of this Airlifter 5000 series air bag kit. First, the kit, without a doubt, is a high quality kit with many of it's components designed specifically for specific vehicle application. I installed it under the rear of our new-to-us 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab Laramie 4x4 Ecodiesel. I was very pleasantly surprised by the nice and robust powder coating of the metal mounting plates. That means protection for them for a long, long time. The hardware/fastners were/are of decent quality also. And, while the "springs" used for the temporary carriage bolt retention in part of the install are a good idea, I have maybe a better way of doing that. In my opinion, for whatever that's worth, here's a suggestion.
Since there are TWO of those carriage bolts that have to be installed AT ONE TIME, you now have to deal with those two long tailed springs, carriage bolts that continue to fall backwards into the abyss of the frame, all the while trying to maneuver the frame mount plate into position. Then, trying to retain tension on the tails of those springs that retain the carriage bolts, and align the bolt tips to enter the mount plate, and then, if and or when you get the mount plate into position and both bolt tips are protruding through it, you now have to hold ALL of that in place, while you remove at least one spring so that you can now grab a nut (a feat unto itself) and fit it onto the tip of one bolt, all the while trying to hold tension on that bolt so it won't fall backwards into the frame and start threading it.
Then, once it's threads are started, you can no concentrate on the same operation for the second bolt. What a serious pain in the petute!

But instead of the springs and tails to be used to retain the bolts while prepping to install the mount plate, you use whatever their called, a very, very thin retainer clip or washer or "push clip" (I really don't know the name of them) that are used to retain the drums onto hubs on an axle, ALL THOSE PROBLEMS would be over.

You'd simply use the springs as before to load and pull the bolts through their respective holes as before. Now, with the one bolt in place, reach through the center hole in the frame that's between the two bolt holes and using a finger, push on the head of that installed bolt. Your finger will now hold the bolt in place. Now, with that bolt held in place, you can remove the spring. Then, PUSH the very thing spring clip right over the threads of the bolt and it will "ratchet" down the threads until it bottoms out against the frame. You have now LOCKED that bolt in place and you can let got of it with your finger and that bolt isn't going anywhere!!!!!!!!

Now, do the same for the second bolt. Now, both bolts are held firm in place WITHOUT the long and cumbersome tails of the springs. You can now grab the mount plate and push it up into place and over both exposed sets of threads at the same time WITHOUT FEAR of pushing the bolts back into the frame. You can now hold that mount plate in place while you grab one nut at a time and thread it all the way on. Then do the same for the other nut.

To me, this would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier than the method you (and I, and any installer, be it a shop or a home install) are presently using. If I had a link to what kind of clip I'm talking about, I'd link it.

But, those clips are seriously thin yet are quite capable of retaining those bolts and will not hinder the mate-up of the mount plate to the frame sides. Sure seems worth a looking into to me. Just a suggestion.

So far, After a year of use, these air bag helpers I installed on our 21 Ram 1500 Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab are working just fine. Id recommend them in a heartbeat.

Bought this set up about a week ago. Easy over the phone process and delivery was even 5 days early. Install was smooth and took about 2 hours with the help of a lift. Pulling an 20' enclosed trailer to camp today without issue. Not the biggest trailer, but Ram's squat with the smallest weight added. No more squat and the trailer floats down the road.

I just purchased these for my 2023 Ram 1500 4x4 ecodiesel to help pull a 8,000+lb Camper.

WOW, what a difference. LOTS less sway and a great ride only adding 40lbs of air.

These are fantastic, and etrailer customer service is also great!!

Highly recommend.

I can see where you coming from on the side of caution. But to reiterate what the instructions say, you are meant to finish any cutting by tapping with a hammer as to not cut into those things you mentioned.

  • Is Timbren Rear SES Available With Lower Capacity for 2022 Ram 1500
Hi David; the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TDR1500DS is not available with a lower capacity. All of the Timbren SES bump stops come with a high capacity like these. If 1,500 lbs is enough the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SSR-307-47 are another option. These won't give you a harsh ride like the Timbren can. The other option is to get the Timbren and then send them off to them to "soften them up" if you think they're too harsh. They are willing to adjust a pair...

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs Rear Axle # AL88375 are the correct ones for your 2021 Ram 1500 Rebel 4X4 ECO Diesel. The # AL88375 does come with the internal jounce bumpers (bump stop) giving you that extra layer of security if a bag were to fail while hauling a heavy load, if you would like the ones without the internal jounce bumper then get the # AL57375. Also, you will not need spacers for the installation. Do you need an air compressor to go with it? Hi Jeff; the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL57375 or # AL88375 will fit assuming you have a 4 wheel drive model. Between the two, I would choose the one with the built in jounce bumper since it gives extra support and can protect the air bag from bottoming out. Since you have the lift kits you may also need a spacer and to find the right spacer you will need to measure. The formula for the spacer is H - A = S. H is the distance between mounting surfaces, A is the air spring design height...

Hey, Mark! This is a really common question we get so I can definitely can help out. The Timbren kit like part # TDRTT1500 are really good if your truck is under a constant load. When it's not it can cause for your unloaded ride to be hard and sometimes uncomfortable, especially if you drive over a pot hole or on a rough road. If you want to use the Timbren SES # TDR1500DQ you were looking at it is possible with the addition of spacers. It is best to have a 1/2" - 1-1/2" gap between the Timbren SES and point of contact so you can add in the 1" spacer # A25723-90AH00 and 1/2" spacer # TA25722-90P00 to achieve this. I try to steer people away from the Air Lift 1000 for Coil Springs, like part # AL60828HD for your 2022 Ram 1500, just because the springs can pinch the bags where the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL57375 just require the 5 psi minimum to help keep the brackets from pinching the bag. If you are experiencing sag while towing then we have some great options for a 2021 Ram 1500. This is a common problem even for those towing within their capacity. The most popular fix and what I recommend is installing a set of suspension enhancements.
