Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident: Up to 5,000 lbs of Rear Suspension Support

Heavy loads can drop the rear of your truck, throwing off handling and headlight aim. The LoadLifter 5000 air springs provide up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your ride level under heavy cargo or trailer weight. By sharing the load across all four wheels, they cut down on rear-end sag and help maintain stable steering and braking, even with a full bed or tongue weight pressing down.

Smooth Out the Ride: Adjustable Air Pressure from 5 to 100 psi

No two hauls are the same, and this system lets you set it up for each trip. You can fine-tune air pressure anywhere between 5 psi and 100 psi to match your load. Add air for maximum support when towing or carrying heavy equipment, then drop back to minimum pressure for a comfortable unloaded ride. Each spring can be inflated independently using the included manual valves, so you can level side-to-side when loads are uneven.

Protect Your Suspension and Tires: Reliable Load Distribution

When factory springs handle all the weight alone, they wear faster and cause uneven tire wear. These Air Lift springs back up your factory suspension by spreading the weight evenly across both axles. That balance helps reduce sway, bottoming out, and poor headlight aim while improving braking response and tire contact with the road.

Built to Last: Reinforced Rubber Bags with Zytel Nylon Endcaps

Air bags see a lot of stress from heat, moisture, and road debris, so construction matters. Each LoadLifter 5000 uses 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber air springs capped with high-strength Zytel nylon ends that resist rust and corrosion better than steel. Air Lift’s exclusive roll plates add extra protection and increase the effective load capacity of the springs, keeping your suspension upgrade working smoothly for years.

DIY Ready: Complete Kit with Brackets, Hardware, and Air Lines

Installing serious load support doesn’t need to be complicated. This kit includes mounting brackets, hardware, manual inflation valves, and air lines—everything needed to get up and running. Valves typically mount on the bumper for easy access whenever you want to adjust pressure or check levels. A compressor system with in-cab gauges can be added later if you want automatic control.

Product look great. Was worried that it would fit a 2025 Nissan Frontier, as you had no listing for that model year. Spoke with Amy and she assured me that it should fit or can easily be returned. Have not yet installed them, but first observation is that they should install properly.

Im very impressed with these airbags. So far they are doing the job.
These come with all hardware and instructions. I put 20 psi with no load to see how long the air would hold up. 2 weeks later im now at 15 psi which I'm satisfied.
The previous bags of another brand didnt hold air well even with no leaks.
I can tell the difference in ride quality. I've loaded the bed with landscaping materials and towed my boat with 15 psi and still holding strong. Looking forward to towing my Travel Trailer.
Customer service has also been great!

Would love to know your thoughts on them once you're able to try them out with the travel trailer, too! Thanks for sharing the different things you've used them with. Sounds like they are just the ticket for your scenario :)

@BrookeM Hi Brooke. I finally had the opportunity to tow my travel trailer. Very impressed with the stability and reliability these airbags have performed. I put 40 psi in the airbags using my weight distribution hitch , and it worked well. During my trip a support bar fell off while on the road without me knowing. That told me right there how much support and strong the bags are. Coming back from my trip I had no support bars and put more air (50) PSI. The support bags held up well. I can feel the difference between not having the support bars versus having them. My truck was a little bouncy on wavy roads but not bad enough to have a negative impact on the airbag support If it wasn't for the strength and support from the airbags i wouldn't be confident enough to tow without the support bars When not towing i leave 10-15 psi in the bags. It's amazing how long the air holds up to 3 weeks or so without adding air. Very happy with my purchase

Things are working well so far. I tow and haul during the spring, summer and fall. The most air I put in the bags was 50 PSI. The air still holds pretty good towing.Time will tell if the bags hold up as the bags age.

These were a great addition to my truck. I moved from Washington to Michigan 1 year ago. Heavily loaded trailer and truck. No sag, no issues. Full disclosure I had to get some custom U bolts made because of my setup, but I have had zero issues. Great buy.

I plumbed my airlines through the license plate which turned out to be very handy.

Nice job running the Schrader valves through the license plate, that's how I'd do it! '

Watched the install video twice before the shipment got here and had no problems installing it. Also installed the WirelessOne from Airlift at the same time. Picked up some 1/4" clamps to make the air lines look a little cleaner, and hold them in place during our snowy and icy winters. Including the WirelessOne system, it took about 8 hours from the time I washed the underside of the truck until I rolled it back out from the garage. Pulled the camper this morning and all my old issues have disappeared. Truck is level, trailer pulls great, and the cooling system is back to working as needed. Highly recommend this suspension kit!

@ClayM Glad to hear it! What are you towing and how often? Have these messed with your unloaded ride at all? We hear people say they do and then we hear people say they don't, so we are always curious.

Took my time and followed included instructions exactly. Went together well! Haven’t towed with them yet, but definitely raised the back of my Tacoma with 26 lbs of air pressure that I tested for leaks with! Feel like they’ll be a big improvement when towing our 4200 lbs. camper!

I didn’t do the install myself. However my mechanic talked me into these after adding a rack and rooftop tent to my ‘14 Tacoma. Absolutely Fantastic. I have a 3” suspension lift and the truck handles as near to stock as I can remember. Awesome product. Easy install (according to mechanic). Thanks all. Oh yes, one issue because I added a leaf spring when I lifted it. He had to find new shackles to allow for fit. FYI

Not quite Overland, definitely camping, hunting fishing. Its my “bugout” vehicle whenever need be. Moving back home to Central NY from MA soon and hoping to spend most spring/summer camping for sure. Love these springs! Seriously has not driven this well since stock. With the rack and rtt on top its an added (roughly) 500lbs and a bit top heavy. Not any more! Thanks all

2010 Ford F-150
a very good choice. The F150 did not have enough stock suspension for my 24 foot trailer with a GVER 10,000lb. Now we all know the truck will pull that weight but when you hooked up it squatted. After installing the air lift it does not squat any more and the truck with a 5.0 has enough power to pull the weight. I had Monroe air shocks on it before but they would not do the job. I am very happy with the setup. I replaced the Monroe air shocks with Rancho shock's and the ride is amazing with or with out the trailer. This was a great investment for the long haul.

The Air Lift is working GREAT a year later. We just hauled a Generac 705 miles up north and brought a load of big rocks back for a guy that wanted to build a waterfall for his coy fish and the Air lift system was able to handle the weight just fine and rode great. Every one comments about how smooth the truck rides. The Air Lift system has handled everything we have asked it it to and has been trouble free. These will go on every truck I won in the future.

Installed yesterday and tried them out with the fifth wheel loaded. Leveled my truck out in seconds with a compressor. The installation video on the same page as the product was extremely easy to follow. Also, Joy was awesome with helping me select what I needed over the phone. Very happy with this.
by:
The airbags did their job! I’ve got a 2021 Toyota Tacoma, and I’m really happy with the results so far. I only had to put in about 10 psi, and that was more than enough to handle the weight of the dump trailer. The install was a bit tedious and took around 3 hours total. The left side definitely took longer than the right.

Besides the time it took, I am glad you were able to get these installed and notice a difference right away! They look nice installed. Are you towing anything other than your dump trailer?

by:
I had the airbags installed at my local auto shop. It took them 4 1/2 hours to install them. The kit I purchased didn't include a heatshield to protect the airbag from the exhaust pipe so I had to contact Airlift to get one sent to me. It's been 12 days since contacting them and haven't received the part yet.

2026 Ford F-350 Super Duty
Install on a 2026 F350 SRW. Love the product and have zero issues with that itself. The reason for the 4 star is the clearance with the factory sway bar and brake lines. It does mention that in the instructions, however it's extremely tight and I'll definitely be checked for rubbing in the future to make sure I don't have clearance issues. Otherwise, they work great paired with the Airlift WirelessAIR compressory system, zero complaints on the usability of the product.

  • Do the Air Lift Helper Springs part # AL39DQ Increase Towing Capacity?
Hi Chris, The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL39DQ do not increase the vehicle's towing capacity/payload. You're correct that these air bags are added as a suspension enhancement to help reduce sagging, evenly distribute the load, and make sure steering and braking stay consistent. It helps support up to 5,000lbs by sharing the load across all four wheels to reduce wear and tear on the suspension as well. What are you wanting to tow with your Nissan Frontier?

  • Availability of Installation Video and Description of Air Lift Air Bags on 2023 Nissan Frontier
Hi George; the only video we have for the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL39DQ is the breakdown attached below. We won't have an installation video for a 2023 Frontier until someone brings one for us to install the air bags. These have a load-leveling capacity of 5,000 lbs, lifetime warranty, and are made in the USA. They are constructed of 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber and have Zytel nylon endcaps to keep them secure. The air bags will help keep you level while reducing the strain on...

  • What's Included With Firestones Airbag Kits
Thanks for your question, Beau. Are you referring to the mounting brackets and hardware? If so, then yes, the Air Lift kit part # AL39DQ includes everything you need to install the airbags. Once installed, you’ll have two air fittings, one for each side. If you’d prefer to have one air fitting so both bags inflate at the same time with the same PSI, you’ll also need union tee part # AL21838. For a complete setup, I recommend compressor kit part # AL25854. It’s a straightforward system...

  • Will The Air Lift Air Bag Helper Springs # AL39DQ Fit a 2023 Nissan Frontier SV 4X4?
The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL39DQ are confirmed by Air Lift to fit your 2023 Nissan Frontier SV 4x4. We currently do not have an installation video for this system as we only just began to carry the springs a few months ago(June 2023) and have not had any vehicles in for this installation. These are going to be far superior to the Timbren # TTORTUN4L for helping to keep your Frontier level. The Timbren creates a 1" gap for your suspension so they will not engage until...

Hello Jim. For you I Recommend the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs # SS47PV. These are 1,800 lb capacity urethane jounce springs which will replace the factory bumpstops. I like these for a few reasons. The 1,800 lb capacity will be enough to help keep your ride level and provide sufficient support to the rear suspension when towing. You will see less sagging, which will in turn improve ride quality and handling. The Sumo Springs feature a progressive spring rate. Meaning the...
