I have bought one of these before. I liked it well enough to buy a second one. My motorhome has two batteries in the coach, so now I have one solar panel for each battery.

I have two deep cycle batteries in the coach of our motorhome and two 20 W panels to maintain their charge. I place the panels on the dash. So far, so good. The cold winter weather has posed no problem. Considering the cost of quality batteries, this was a good investment.

It's a great solar charger. The only downside is that it doesn't indicate the charging level. I have it hooked up to my four wheeler in a remote area to keep the battery charged. It would be a five rating if there was some way to tell if the battery was fully charged when using the charger.

What is Needed to Make an Extension for the etrailer Solar Panel Kit MA79JR
Hey Jordan, what you'd want is an extension SAE solar panel cable which we don't have a perfect solution for at this time. We have the part # e84RV which is an SAE connector on one end and then 48 inches of wire on the other but you'd need to attach an SAE connector to the other side. Or the other option is to just cut and splice wire into the harness that comes with the solar kit part # MA79JR to add the length you need.
