EZ Hook safety cables are faster to connect than other cables. They include the features of standard cables with the addition of a unique attachment system - a stainless steel ball at the end of the cable that latches into a slotted anchor plate.

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster EZ Hook Safety Cables. These EZ Hook Safety Cables are going to be faster to connect than other cables. They're going to include the features of standard cables, with the addition of unique attachment system. Located on this end, we're going to have a stainless steel ball at the end of the cable that latches into a slotted anchor plate. These cables are going to measure 64 inches long. They're going to have a capacity of 8,000 pounds per pair. They're made right here in the USA and designed to work with all Roadmaster mounting brackets with quick-disconnects.
These safety cables are aircraft tight galvanized steel and they're going to feature the drop-forged steel hooks that are going to have safety latches. These are going to be spring loaded to prevent accidental disconnecting. Now the cables are going to have a nice vinyl coating on them. That's really going to help prevent scratching and chipping of your tow bars. The cables easily connect to the anchor brackets by inserting the ball ends through the diagonal slots and then pulling them down into the side. Now, your anchor brackets are going to be the brackets that connect to the quick-disconnects.
Anchor brackets are sold separately and you can find them right here at eTrailer dot com. Now, when connecting your cables to the tow vehicle, we do recommend that you cross the cables below the hitch. That's going to create a cradle, so in the event of a separation, the cables will help in preventing the tow bar from striking the ground. I have used this product before but on my last trip I hit a low spot pulling out of a driveway and broke the spring clip on the safety hook. No fault of the product only driver error. I will continue to use this product because it is easy to use and dependable.

these cables are of a good design, but the outter plastic can wear off easily. Also, the springs clips are lightweight and can be damaged from road foreign object damage (FOD)
Just as expected. Perfect replacement for the original cable that got drug on the ground by mistake. Now I have a spare for the next bonehead move. LOL

Easy to attach and the ball end slides thru the leg of my my tow bar with no effort. It would be nice if the hooks had a little wider spread, would make easier to clip onto the coach.

Fantastic! I've ordered many part from here, many out of the ordinary ones. Service has always been great. This time, I screwed up and managed to grind off my towing safety cables. I spoke to Steve Z. Told him I needed them next day. He told me I just missed he cut off for Friday, but he pulled off a small miracle and manged to get the cables in for next day and they actually showed up. Otherwise with a weekend and the then the 4th of July on Wed, I could see a disaster coming up. With Steve's extra effort, I got the cables on Friday, installed them right away. Now I can leave on Saturday . . . .Thanks!

I changed vehicles and no longer have a need for the cables. Until then they worked fine.
These cables are great for easy hookup and removal. Cleaner too. As usual, etrailer is a totally reliable vendor. I use them regularly.

These cables make it a snap to hook up. Much easier and quicker than using links. These replace a set of used ones we had that have been damaged, but were still functional.

Loved the safety chain I just wished they were about 6 inches shorter. Have to use bungee cords to keep from dragging

Easy to install and work like they're supposed to. I bought my Roadmaster Sterling secondhand and the cables that came with it were just a bit too long for my setup, and they dragged on the ground enough to get pretty torn up. These are the perfect length to allow for movement, but not so long that they drag.
Needed to replace our old cables and checked our local Camping Store. They were charging a ridiculous price. I checked trader.com and found exactly what we needed for half the price. The website made it easy to locate exactly what I needed. Ordering online was super simple and the package arrived within 5 days- earlier than the anticipated date. I appreciated that they sent an email notifying me that the order was received and another when the item shipped. I will definitely order through them for future purchases.
