When you’re loading up kayaks, camping gear, or a cargo box, you want bars that feel solid. The Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack is built from aluminum, giving it strength without unnecessary weight. With a 165-lb weight capacity (always follow your vehicle’s roof load rating), it’s ready for long trips and serious gear. The durable build stays steady under load, so you can drive with confidence.
Roof racks can whistle and hum at highway speeds, but these aero-style crossbars are shaped to smooth out the airflow. Rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels help cut down on drag and wind noise, so your drive feels more relaxed. The black finish and smooth profile keep things looking clean while improving performance.
This rack keeps your options open. The full-length bars provide plenty of space for channel-mount or clamp-on carriers—so you can run bikes, kayaks, skis, or a rooftop box without needing to choose just one setup. It’s versatile enough for every season and every hobby, from paddleboards in summer to snow gear in winter.
You don’t want to worry about your rack or accessories when you stop for food or camp overnight. This system includes integrated plastic locks in the crossbars to deter theft of channel-mount accessories and lockable cover plates on the legs that secure the rack to your roof. For more protection, you can upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4 - sold separately).
Everything you need is in the box—two 49" long crossbars, four 2500 Series legs, and a custom fit kit designed for naked roofs. The system installs directly on top without factory rails, giving you a stable platform for all your adventures. Crossbar dimensions are 49" long x 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall, with a top channel that’s 13/16" wide x 1/4" tall with a 3/8" opening. Each piece carries Rhino-Rack’s limited lifetime warranty on the crossbars and 5-year limited coverage on the legs and fit kit.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
