2016 ram 3500 crewcab, naked roof. What is the weight capacity of this system? Does this kit have everything that I need for installation? Thank you

Hey Bob,

Roof rack systems are typically only rated up to 165lbs because that's typically above the capacity of the vehicle's roof. More recently all manufacturers are switching to removing the capacity from the listing and telling consumers to check the weight capacity of the roof because people have been overloading their roofs and causing damage.

The # RR38ZE is missing a crossbar but includes the correct amount of feet and and fit kit components so you'll need to order the following components to ensure you have everything you need:

Crossbars # RRVA150B-2
Feet # RRRLKVA
Fit Kit # DK043

@BobP Most carriers on the market are pretty universal when it comes to mounting to crossbars but if you wanted to stick with the Rhino-Rack brand you can go with the Rhino-Rack Kayak Roof Rack w/ Tie-Downs # S512. These carriers will clamp onto the crossbars and have a quick release latch to easily adjust the angle of the hoops to fit a variety of accessory sizes. I have the fixed version # S510 and kind of wish I would've bought the folding version instead to just get everything perfect when loading up.

Kevin, I must have misunderstood your message about what was included in the kit. I ordered the kit and an extra crossbar. Now I have 3 crossbars!

@BobP Hey, I was mistaken when I told you to purchase an additional crossbar. The information we had showed that the new kits put on the site only had one crossbar so I've sent a note to a team lead to contact you and get you a return for that third crossbar. Sorry for the confusion!
