I would love to help but none of the roof bags for a bare roof will work with a sliding rear door. Therefore, the Rightline Gear Sport 3 Rooftop Cargo Bag part # RL100S30 will not fit your 2016 Honda Odyssey unless you first install a roof rack like the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System which consists of part # RRVA126B-2, part # RRQMVA10, part # RRRTV168, and part # RRRLT600.

The next best option which is also more cost effective would be to install a trailer hitch like the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E98862 and a cargo basket like the 20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier part # C18150 with a cargo bag like the Curt Cargo Bag for Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier part # C18211.

I have attached an install video of the trailer hitch for you. In order to make sure there will be no issues with the handicap modifications you will need to take a look at this for yourself and make sure nothing will interfere with what you have now.

Will this bag possibly work on a 2016 Honda Odyssey that has handicap modifications floor ped and sliding doors on both sides? There is no roof rack on top so we are trying to find a viable option. We are unable to install a hitch due to the modifications, and do not have enough time between now and date of vacation to possibly install roof racks. The tech I spoke with thought this may work....but I want to make sure before purchase.

If you have at least 40" of space between the tail lights on your 2016 Honda Odyssey then yes, the Rightline Gear Cargo Hatch Saddlebag part # RL100B90 should work for you if used with the Replacement Car Clips for Rightline Gear Car Back Carrier part # RL100605. The trailer hitch with cargo basket and bag would be preferred but if this cannot be used due to previous modifications to the vehicle then the saddlebag will be your next best option.
