For your 2018 Honda HR-V to be compatible with the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier and Lift Assist with Tie-Downs # TH898, you have to use slightly longer crossbars. The Hullavator requires 4-8 inches overhang to give clearance.
In order to give you the clearance without giving you too much bar length, I recommend the following system:
