Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar Installed

Benefits of an Anti-Sway System

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar does for side-to-side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up-and-down motion. You will notice a marked improvement in your vehicle's stability as the bar works to balance weight transfer and reduce body roll. The anti-sway bar acts as a link between your vehicle's frame and its rear axle, using the axle as a brace to more effectively balance the shifting weight of your vehicle as you maneuver it. Lubricated bushings allow just enough pivot and rotation to compensate for the pressure placed on one side of your vehicle when it goes into sudden maneuvers, hits crosswinds or encounters shifting weights.

Roadmaster Anti-Sway Polyurethane Bushings

Superior Construction

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar is made of 4140 chromoly, a chromium and molybdenum steel alloy. This type of steel is considerably harder and stronger than the standard 1020 steel that is typically used in anti-sway applications. In addition, the larger diameter of the bar increases its torsional roll stiffness. The result is a bar that is not only stronger than the competition, but also nearly 30 percent better at resisting sway. The polyurethane bushings and grommets used at the attachment points are durable yet flexible, ensuring that the system is neither so rigid nor so malleable that it becomes ineffective.

  • Air Bags for 1999 Ford F-250 With Curt 5th Wheel Hitch and Slide-In Camper
Hello Kirk; for your 1999 Ford F-250 I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs # AL57390. It looks like you had Air Lift air bags in the past so I'm sure you already know all about them. This particular model will also be compatible with your Curt 5th wheel hitch so you can use them for towing and your truck camper. I also recommend adding an air compressor if you don't already have one to make adjustments easier. The Air Lift Load Controller II # AL25592 is a single...

  • Correct Rear Anti-Sway Bar For My 2001 Ford F250 With A 6" Lift
Hey Brandon, The Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-153 is the correct sway bar for your vehicle. We only carry extended endlinks for vehicles with a 4" lift. Since you have a 6" lift you will need to reach out to Roadmaster to see if they have a set for a 6" lift, or they should be able to make a set for your specific vehicle and lift. I have had similar vehicles with that lift get what they need from Roadmaster, but it needed to be custom made for that larger lift. They should...

  • Diameter of Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar 1139-153
I checked with Roadmaster for you, and I verified that the thickness is 1-3/8 inches for the anti-sway bar: - Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-153 This is good because the thicker the anti-sway bar, the more roll stiffness there is, which means you get more control over sway and body roll. A rear anti-sway bar is really the best thing you can add to counteract sway and improve stability and handling of your truck. The # RM-1139-153 is a replacement for the rear factory anti-sway...

  • Sway Bar Recommendation for 2003 Ford F-350 4x4 Single Rear Axle
We have the Roadmaster sway bar part # RM-1139-153 which is a confirmed fit for your 2003 Ford F-350 4x4 with single rear wheel axle. This is a thicker 1-1/4 inch bar that replaces the sway bar you currently have. No other parts needed to install it. Another option you might consider is the SuperSprings kit part # SSA22. This will give you additional suspension support which will help with the camper and is known to act like a sway bar in that it reduces body roll and sway. This would...

  • Rear Anti-Sway Bar For 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty 2WD
While we have a good option for an anti-sway that will help with overall control of your 2000 Ford F-250 2WD, a steering stabilizer won't fit. The reason why isn't that they are too long or big, it's simply that the stabilizer won't physically fit because it installs in place of the steering damper which is there on 4WD options but not your 2WD. So the best option that will help keep your F-250 steady is a rear anti-sway bar, which does fit your 2WD 2000 Ford F-250: - Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway...

  • Rear Sway Bar Recommendation for 2000 Ford F-250
The correct rear sway bar for your 2000 Ford F-250 is the Roadmaster sway bar part # RM-1139-153 which is a confirmed fit. This will help greatly with handling while towing. We aren't going to have a great suspension support system solution but we can offer you a setup that's actually better designed for towing. A weight distribution system helps with rear end sag by distributing some of the tongue weight up to the front axle. In doing so it reduces sag but also improves braking and handling. The...

  • Do I Need End Links to Install a Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar on a 1999 Ford F350
The easiest way to tell if you have a rear sway bar on your 1999 Ford F350 would be to just get underneath the rear of your vehicle and check. The sway bar will look like a thick metal bar that runs over the differential that will connect to the rear axle using u-bolts. If you do not have a sway bar you will need the end links like you mentioned, for that you will want part # RM-590230-00.
