Hi, everybody, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at the Superwinch Winch2Go portable winch system. It uses a synthetic rope and it has a Hawse fairlead. It's rated at 4,000 pounds capacity. Now, this is a nice little winch, because it doubles as a winch and toolbox with everything built in, even the disconnects. So, flipping it up here to start, you can kind of see the bottom.
So, you could do a permanent mount if you so choose. You've got mounts up here in the front on here, and you've also got two in the back as well, going from the top down if you choose to mount it permanently. But the way it's designed is, you could just use the included D-rings. So, you get a pair of gloves, you get the alligator clips and the leads, you get the mounting bolts, you get two of these nice straps, and of course, you get your winch remote. You get the lead here, and you're gonna get two more of these D-rings.
So, there's one up here that I already installed for the front just to kind of clip into. But the way you wanted to use this, so the way it's designed by Superwinch is, theoretically, you could put these two back here through the eyelets and then you would just use the straps that are included, and wrap them around maybe the front of your trailer, a beam or something that's secure, maybe a front bumper or whatnot, and that would hold it in place while you're winching up whatever you need to winch and get unstuck or just load something of that nature. So, that's kind of how it's themed. It has a nice handle here on top, so you can pick everything up. I've got it open right now.
So, again, going back to the winch itself. Very nice winch. Again, 4,000 pounds capacity. It has everything you need, the engage, go forward, reverse, that kind of stuff. And once again, everything can fit back in the box, just like I showed you when we started the video together today.
You've got the connection port back here. That's there your power lead is gonna go. And then again, you have the alligator clips built in here on the other end of that cable. It's a pretty long cable. Now, the winch itself is a 50-foot long synthetic rope. And again, that Hawse fairlead is built into the base plate system down here. It's got a free spool clutch. The drum barrel on the winch is two inches in diameter and the drum length is three inches. Now, the connection for the hand remote is back here on the back. It's that top one above where that other power connection went. And then that gives you your remote to go in or out. So, a nice little kit here by Superwinch. Has a nice lifetime warranty on all the mechanical parts from the manufacturer. And once again, you can fit all of the ropes and everything that came with it right back inside of its own toolbox. And then again, the idea is, it's portable. So, now, you can take this and go do other winter recoveries, or maybe you're pulling something out that's stuck or up on a trailer maybe and you just need a little bit of versatility, this could be a good option for you. I like the fact that it's all portable and it just makes it a lot easier if you wanna use it in multiple areas versus just one dedicated connection and installation. Now, the box is a heavy-duty plastic. And that being said, it does have a spot here for a lock. In all honesty, obviously, they could cut through the plastic. It's just gonna slow 'em down, but it is on there. I do like the fact that it has that. You've also got some side carrying handles here as well. So, again, not too heavy. Out of the box it comes with a lot of handy items. I’m most impressed with the plug and play end of the dc cable to the winch, and large alligator clips for positive and negative. I’m hoping it performs as well as it looks.
I purchased this winch after a friend loaned me his. I had to winch my 6k lb boat on the trailer when the eye hook broke. I had to strap the stern of the boat and winch the boat from the water. It saved the day and bought myself one right away for any emergency.
great item, only issue is plastic clips for toolbox-scared i'm going to break one. But good so far
I bought this because so I could get my I s x 800 Farris zero turn on to my trailer. I weights around 1100 lbs. i do not think 3 men could push this mower up the incline. I have tested this out , no problem. I hope it never brakes down but now I have something to handle it.
Works great when it works. Have it in a 24 ft enclosed trailer and most of the time it takes wiggling all the connections around to find just the right fit for it to work. 25% of the time I can’t get it to work at all and have to find help to push a car up. Will be trying to sell it soon and put a permanent one in.

This is an awesome winch. I use it to haul antique railroad motorcars in and out of an enclosed trailer with ease. This winch is great because it is essentially portable. I hook a short chain to the rear clevis hooks to a bracket in my trailer and pull the machine up the ramps. The power is provided by a battery jump pack by clipping the battery leads to the jump pack leads for now and it works great with no permanent wiring. I also have an open trailer and use it with that trailer as well for pulling tractors and cars onto the trailer as well.
In a few seconds I can close up the power cables and the remote cable, close the box, disconnect the winch from the trailer and move it to another trailer or put it away. However, it easily can stay home in the trailer since it is so compact and easy to store out of the way.
The only complaint is probably the same with most winches, you must guide the cable onto the reel so it does not bind up on one side and pinch the cable. If you remember to guide the cable, it works awesome and is a very good product. You can also freespool the cable out to hook it onto whatever you are pulling which makes the job faster. The speed it operates is safe and seems like just a few seconds and the job is done.

Used this to winch a vehicle onto a car hauler. The winch pulled the vehicle up with zero problems. I like the fact that this winch is portable. Powered winch off of a deep cycle battery. Winch did not drain battery. Powerful, compact winch. Plenty of accessories included.
I’m giving the winch an excellent rating because of its power from a small box. The plastic box itself actually broke into pieces , so the box itself should be made of metal. Hopefully there’s a replacement box available
Great portability, but I’m going to mount it in my enclosed car transporter. It’ll be used for pull the car in with dead batteries or low tires. Nice!
Exactly the correct size for loading my Lotus Evora onto my Featherlight trailer. I like that there is storage for accessories. I’d buy it again.
Set it up to practice and all seems as advertised. Power and connections are sound. Plastic handle and closure clasps are suspect but no issue yet. It’s nice that everything you need is there. Maybe add a couple soft shackles and tree saver.
Love it. It works very well and as always etrailer delivered it with in days of the order. Thanks. The case clasps could be a little more durable as they are a plastic. But still like the portability of this winch.
