Protect Your Investment
If you aren't using a surge protector, you're taking a big risk. While spikes caused by lightning can damage your electrical system and appliances, there are common electrical issues that can be just as dangerous. Choosing a surge protector with advanced features will help you protect your RV.
Voltage Boosting
Electrical problems are not uncommon at campgrounds, especially ones where wiring was originally installed decades ago. When a campground is full on a hot day and everyone is running their air conditioners, low voltage may cause a brown-out situation and damage your RV appliances.
Voltage boosters respond by automatically boosting voltage when low levels are detected. As voltage drops, electrical circuits respond by increasing amps. The booster converts the increased amps into volts to keep your connection strong. If volts drop below a usable threshold, it automatically cuts off power.

Hey there, you can certainly use a cable lock like 10' etrailer # e98891 and wrap through the handle of the cable, or the handle of the booster box to secure it to the pedestal. But I agree, would be nice if they had a built-in lock since they are not cheap! Let me know what you think. :)

Performs as advertised I keep it upright and on a couple of Lego blocks off the ground. I keep it chained to the camper with a cable.

Glad to hear you are liking it, Jimmy! The wait was a bummer, but I don't think I have heard a single person that was unhappy with the upgrade as of yet. Definitely sounds like it was worth it! : ) Are you traveling around the country or do you have a few spots you tend to always go to?

During this year that Ive had this autoformer I have had zero issues with it. As a full time RV user it has been running everyday since it arrived. It is the first piece of equipment that I setup and the last one that I put away when I move camp. I would still recommend it to anyone that is a full time camper.

Glad to hear it was an easy set up, Anthony! RV parks are definitely starting to show their age, which can make them very cool, but it's definitely a good idea to be protected! : ) Where are you typically taking your Airstream? What has been your favorite spot?

I am sorry to hear that that happened to your Watchdog unit. Where did you have it installed or sitting on your RV? They don't have a locking feature but that is definitely something I will pass along as something they might want to look into.
