Do Watchdog Surge Protector Voltage Boosters Kick On And Off Automatically During Power Dips?

Question:

We do a lot of summer camping in Missouri where the voltage really s in the evenings. Would both the HU84ZR and HU74ZR kick in automatically when that happens, or do you have to flip a switch?

Derk, both the # HU84ZR 30A and # HU74ZR 50A handle it automatically. If park voltage sags below about 113V, the Power Center adds about a 10% boost. You don’t have to do anything - it senses the drop and corrects it so your A/C compressors and appliances stay safe. If the power gets dangerously low below ~104V, the unit will shut down altogether until voltage comes back into range.
